This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.Guest review byLinda & NickUnited States - 10.0
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location...
This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory. In short, it is a must-see stop on any tour of Iceland.Guest review byzevCanada
