The hotel and our room were gorgeous. A super special find for us! The restaurant served very good food, which was nice because we did not want to go out far for dinner that particular night. The breakfast was also excellent. We traveled around Italy for 5 weeks and stayed in many beautiful places and this is one we won't forget.

Great hotel! The high rating is well-deserved. Rooms are clean&new, AC is great, internet is super fast!! I do not know any similar hotel with all three in this neighborhood 😀 I had to work a few days, and was surprised by the internet speed, which is not easy to find in Italy.

Spacious room, nicely appointed, large and comfortable bed, beautiful view of the bay of Naples. Giuliano was easy to reach, friendly, and accomodating. If you are visiting the ruins, it’s nice to spend the night since sometimes you can visit the parco archeologico at night. I highly recommend this lodging.

If I could give it more stars, I could. It close to the train station and the excavation of Ercolano. The host went above and beyond and helped to get a wheelchair for my mom, who broke her foot 2 days prior . I would definitely stay there again!!!

Everything was great, the place was super clean, comfy bed, pretty new furniture, well managed, quiet, good italian breakfast (a coffee and a pastry in a nearby café). Very similar to a hotel room (cleaning done every day). It is 3 minutes away from Circumvesuviana train station from which nearby attractions such as Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento are easily accessible. Overall we stayed 6 nights and it was exceptional.

It’s not the most beautiful town but the view from our appartment had beautiful views of the bay of Naples for a lot less than you pay in Sorrento. It’s a very good spot to catch the train to Pompeii ( the ruins are right beside Pompeii Scavi station change at Torre de Annunziata) Sorrento, Vesuvius and the stunning Herculaneum. There are plenty of great places to eat and a few volcanic sand beaches to relax after a long walk up a volcano. We enjoyed our pizzas at RoVi and walked into Portici for drinks at Vivarium’s rooftop bar and a fantastic seafood tasting menu at Da Guisieppe al Granatello

We stayed 3 nights, and Ercolano was very convenient for visiting each of Pompeii, Ercolano, and Mt Vesuvio. We would suggest visiting both archeological sites as they provide complementary insights into Roman life and culture. A local guide by the name of Marily(Marialibera Guadagno) was recommended to us and she was brilliant. Having a private guide with her knowledge and humour added immeasurably to our experience.

I would’ve liked to stayed longer and the travel to Mt Versuvis was amazing and who, the view was amazing . I was disappointed I couldn’t hike due to a bung knee (tripped in the streets of Paris a few weeks before) so stayed at entrance waiting for my daughter to come back down. It was good though as I got to talking to other people. I’m from Australia and we drive on the other side of road and I really had to think which way to look before crossing a local fella saw me trying to cross and stepped out on to road and stopped the traffic just so I could cross😊 Go if you ever get the chance but be mindful it’s not a flat area. Tip: staying overnight was a bonus

Favourite places there: Herculaneum Archaeological Site – much quieter than Pompeii, with stunningly preserved mosaics, homes, and even carbonized wooden beams. Villa Campolieto – a beautiful 18th-century villa with sweeping views of the Bay of Naples. MAV (Virtual Archaeological Museum) – great for understanding life in ancient times, especially for visual learners or kids. You can walk to most sights from the Ercolano Scavi train station. Circumvesuviana train connects you easily to Naples, Pompeii, and Sorrento. Some uphill streets, but taxis and buses are available if needed.

Ercolano is a great base for exploring the Bay of Naples, Vesuvius, Pompeii and Herculaneum itself. There are 2 train lines running through, the regional line and circumvesuvius. This makes it especially easy to get around. The cost of accommodation here is less than Naples itself and is considerably quieter at night if that is what you want. Choice of food is somewhat lacking but there are a couple of good restaurants available.

A fantastic apartment; newly refurbished, fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Emanuele was a brilliant host; really helpful and friendly. The location is great - tucked away in the heart of Ercolano, but close to the ruins of Herculaneum, and a short walk to either the small beach or the station for trains to Pompeii or Naples. We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend. Just be aware that parking would be difficult if you were to drive and there are steps up to the apartment.

The hosts are very nice and helpful. Despite being located in a very old area of the town in a back cul-de-sac alley [one have to get used to the specific look-and-feel of it] the apartment is nice and in a very good spot - near an old train station Erculanum Scavi, near Herculanum ruins. Good place to visit whole Napoli-Vesuvio-Pompei-Salerno area. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen and the bathroom had all I needed - apart of that there was no corkscrew.

We had a lovely stay at Megaride Domus. Angela was very helpful and friendly. She gave us lots of recommendations for nearby attractions and information on the public transport nearby. The apartment was very clean and we had all the amenities we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was extremely useful throughout our stay. 15 min walk from Herculaneum ruins and 15 min walk to two stations - Portici-Ercolano and Ercolano Scavi.
