Very historic city with lots of museums, statues, churches, restaurants. Enjoyed the opera singer and violinist playing Friday evening outside of the Duomo. Don't miss the view of the city from Michelangelo Piazza. It is a busy place with lots of tourists and fast passes definitely help with the line-ups. Florence is incredibly crowded with tourists trying to navigate the narrow streets and almost non-existent sidewalks, but there are lots of beautiful old buildings, plazas, and little shops and restaurants and ice cream shops. Highly recommend the cooking class at Rosso Crudo - informative and very entertaining.
