Absolutely stunning apartment, finished to a very high standard, very well equipped with everything you would need for your stay and spotlessly clean. Excellent communication with owner and she was so accommodating and friendly. Views of lake Como from the apartment were breathtaking. Photos don't do the place justice! Would highly recommend this property.

Excellent hotel/resort. Everything was so smooth and simple. Large room with great view, swimming pool, sauna, restaurant and great outdoor location to explore. What more can you ask for. We travelled with our dog without knowing much about the place or the hotel but I have to say that we will return to this property for sure. Nothing was too much for them. They even give you free bikes to explore the area if you want to. The restaurant was almost shut by the time we checked in but the guys / gals there welcomed us and make dinner for us and kept the place open till the time we were there. Not once rushed us out of there.

Everything was great at Locanda Capolago starting off from its location, to the impeccable state of the rooms, to the superb breakfast and outstanding restaurant and to the most courteous of staff. Starting from the location, it’s great because it’s not in the heavily touristic areas of Bellagio, Meneggio and Varenna which makes it quieter. Being further north we could enjoy the beauty of the lake and the mountains alike. Having a car makes the beautiful towns peppering the lake all within reach so Bellagio, Menaggio, Varenna and others were all within reach. The rooms are highly finished and beautifully decorated. They are cleaned every single day. Toiletries are provided and towels are changed every single day. The breakfast was truly outstanding. They not only provide a buffet but they give you a menu to choose your own breakfast which they prepare on the spot. The restaurant is amazing. We are there twice and we were not disappointed. No wonder it was always fully booked for dinner. And the staff were ever so helpful and attended to all of our needs. And a very sweet gesture was seeing us off with a small complimentary bag of biscuits. Little things that go a long way. Everything was top notch.

The location was amazing. We had a room that had direct views on the lake and it was so beautiful. The room was great, big, with a cozy bed, modern and big bathroom. Further more free parking which was really convenient, as we were doing a road trip. We went here as part for our honeymoon trip and the owner left us a surprise too, which was so nice of her. Contact with her to get the keys went well, without any problems and whenever we had questions she replied right away.

    Gera Lario is a small village a bit removed from some of the busier tourist areas of Lake Como. Although you could swim anywhere along the lakeside, there is no comfortable swimming beach for families. The village has only a few restaurants and no significant grocery shops. Luckily there are other bigger villages nearby.

    Small quiet town, nice harbour with great views of lake como and mountains. Lots of water sports and biking and a couple of great restaurants. And easy accessible to more touristy parts of the lake and also for a drive into Switzerland.

    We loved the house, the garden, the location and especially the care with which Roberta and Alessio look after their house and surroundings. We would love to come back again to this amazing spot filled with ‘love’! The beach is at walking distance, the best pizza place of the lake is around the corner (Pizzeria Spluga). But the outdoor dining area kept us home most of the time as well 😜

    The flat is located in Gera Lario 3min from the shore of lake Como. It was great that the kitchen is very well quipedded, sleeping room stays cold during day and at night quiet, perfect to rest & sleep, as it's not directly at the main street of Lario. Whole flat was clean. There are a couple of bars and restaurants nearby in walking distance. The flat owner Andrea & Marina are very friendly and if necassery help any time. Grazie mille!

    Great location especially for anyone on a driving holiday. Nice Marina on your doorstep. Easy access to both sides of lake como if wishing to explore whole lake, stunning scenery on route wherever you go. Recommend visiting ‘Balcony of Italy’ which is just over an hours drive from the hotel. Great staff and a very friendly and helpful owner in Ben. Lovely breakfast and pizza’s in the evening.
