This was my second visit to this Hotel. It is great location for my work in the area. I havent eaten in the restaurant as i took a walk out but what food i did see looked fantastic. The staff were very helpful, and my room was great. Plenty of parking on site.

Just to be clear, this review is only related to my experience, namely staying at the Smart Hotel Autodromo (aka Hotel Rivazza) during the Imola F1 Grand Prix. For that purpose, the hotel was OUTSTANDING, primarily due to its AMAZING location. It's located right at the Rivazza turn (hence its original name Hotel Rivazza), so guests can watch the races from the hotel balcony or from the hotel garden, both of which offer fantastic views. More importantly, the location of the hotel meant that we parked our car in the hotel parking on Thursday evening and didn't touch it until Monday morning after the race. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we went everywhere on foot: to the racing events, to the various happenings at the track, and to the beautiful city of Imola for dinner (at one of the many excellent restaurants). The hotel itself is modest but very well organized, very clean, and with good Wi-Fi. It was quite expensive during this race weekend, but in my opinion it was well worth the money: it offered a unique and unforgettable experience.

Let's solve biggest mystery first - where EXACTLY is Selice 42 Residence? If you try any navigation you will find out that Imola has 3 streets with the same name Selice, one you are looking for is "strada provinciale 610 Selice". Second problem - Google Maps is pointing to the WRONG building (as of today, 19.09.2025.), there lives very polite gentleman (and his address is exactly Selice 42???) but it has nothing to do with Selice 42 Residence. Google is pointing to the building next to the Riro restaurant and in fact Residence is exactly across the road. If you see Peugeot and Volvo dealership - that's it, you need to pass to the left of Peugeot and that's it - there is also BIG sign Selice 42 Residence but I was looking at the wrong side of street, silly me, taught Goggle war right. But look at the Street view and you will see construction site next to the Peugeot what is today Residence. So mystery solved - how was our stay? Incredible in one word. Really. I can recommend it to anyone without hesitation. I hate booking premises without independent review but my trip was on the short notice, there was an event at Imola circuit and options were very few so I decided to go. It's brand new premise, very clean, very well equipped (kitchen is equipped for 4 people even on apartments for two), big bathroom with walk in shower, everything clean and spotless. Owner was very polite and helpful, check in is fast and there are no keys but access code for the apartment. There is also Reception but we arrived late and found no problem coming in. At the premise is also parking, REAL parking and real PRIVETE parking so there is no wory you will have to part in some bac alley or similar. Very close to the premise are several restaurants (walking distance, one exactly across the road (Riro) and one maybe 100 m to the city centre (Old Wild West). 3-5 minutes with the car you will find Lidl, Aldi, Carefour, Spar ....

Despite welcoming over 240,000 spectators for the Grand Prix, if you ventured off the beaten path, you could still find quiet streets and charming corners to enjoy in peace.     We loved the town, it is lively enough, with restaurants, cafes and shops, but less touristy than Bologna which we had visited before that. We felt much safer and relaxed here in Imola. We enjoyed the walk in the historical centre, a visit to the Duomo, walking in the Acque Minerali park. Unfortunately, the fortress was closed for reconstruction at the time but we observed it at least from the outside and learned about its history from a very useful app. It's called VisitARe Imola app and we loved it, it's exactly what you need for individual sightseeing of the city and the surroundings. The kids enjoyed having a look at the Imola circuit and driving in the simulators. And other sights in the region are within a reasonable driving distance. The closest is Dozza, which we felt in love with but also a longer trip to San Marino and Rimini was absolutely worth it. And strangely perhaps, we liked the walk around the Piratello cemetery. It is really impressive and even more so in the time of our visit - just two days before All Saints' Day.

    Apart from the racing circuit where we spent most of our time the city itself is beautiful with many excellent restaurants and excellent shops. Downtown is a no traffic zone so its comfortable to stroll around and enjoy a drink in the evening. first Class!!

    We were traveling through the area and were looking for a stop over . Finally, we found this hotel , and that was a huge relief for us . A reasonable price for a nice comfortable hotel with a perfect breakfast. We learned it is quite unusual in Italy to find accommodation like this ( for this level of price, you normally get an old grandma room ).
