The area feels a little like it’s a suburb of the airport. While the accommodation is really good, we would have liked a location with a bit more character. Clean and secure pool and poolside area (gated access) Local supermarket and a few restaurant/cafe options within 10 min walk. Note a hire car is a must to explore since Sardinia public transport isn’t great and beyond a few basic amenities Murta itself is rather limited (but served us well as a base).
