Apartment was comfortable and in a great location. Loved waking early for a stroll when nobody around. Most of the restaurants are beyond overpriced, this town needs to confront its tawdry image as a nasty tourist ripoff. But the natural beauty of Portofino helps to make up for that. The apartment was a refuge from the madness outside. Air con essential.

We were met at the parking garage by Alex from the company where he gave us our parking pass that had to be confirmed ahead. He helped with a suitcase as we followed him with the rest, down through town then up a pretty steep cobblestone hill. But when we walked in and saw the view!!!!! We were just amazed. Centrally located and comfortable. There was coffee there so I figured out how to use that little kettle thing :). We watched the fishermen take swordfish from the boats to the cooler truck! Make sure you shut the shutters at night because the sun is DIRECTLY in your face!

    The most amazing central apartment overlooking the harbour. It had everything we needed for our 2 night stay, comms were great too, directions and access instructions clear. We drove to Santa Margarita and left the car there as parking in Portofino was very expensive. We took the ferry into Portofino (€11), the best way to arrive. There is also a bus (€5), cabs start at €45 for 5 mile trip.

    Portofino is just beautiful, we took so many photos during our stay and if you ever visit you will know why! Apart from a couple of attractions, Castello Brown and the lighthouse there not much to do, but for a romantic weekend and gorgeous food and wine it is absolutely perfect!

    A beautiful, natural harbour, adapted to suit visiting nautical travellers and a base for charter boats. A short climb to stunning views from a high elevation point and historic castle. Interesting shops and a small general store. Lots of dining choices - many on the waters edge. Most enjoyed early in the morning and later at night when there are less people. Inadequate and expensive parking with no options elsewhere. All in all - loved it!

    Portofino was beautiful and lived up to expectations. However, it is tiny and the weather was not great which limits what there is to do. Two nights rather than three would have been enough. Also it really is expensive. Not a place to go if you are on a budget. My husband and son had brilliant food - particularly DaV Mere - but they love fish and seafood. Not great for vegetarians.

    We enjoyed walking and getting around but Portofino is really small so don't spend more than one night there. I was expecting more people to be around but it was really empty after the sunset. People come in boats to know the harbour but they don't stay around after so it's very quiet (at least in April when I went). There aren't that many options for good food but the restaurant "Trattoria Tripoli" was a highlight of our stay in Portofino. Probably the best Frutti di mare spaghetti I have had in my life!

    Its different! fantastic location in the woods above one of the best beaches in liguria, and easy walk to portofino. on hiking path in national park. convivial atmosphere with other guests and staff. breakfast ( boiled egg, toast, yoghurt, fruit, coffee) included. dinner available on site was simple but reasonably priced. beds are very big and comfortable. walk from road is as described (8- 10 min walk up hill on uneven ground but well marked path). Staff very helpful and give good advice about hikes. Historical building.

    What an incredibly beautiful apartment to stay in! This location is already amazing enough, it to stay in such a beautiful place just added to our holiday! Immaculately clean, incredibly clear and easy to follow check-in instructions and so close to Portofino itself, just a very short walk to the main food and shopping area. The weather was very average while we stayed there but coming back to the apartment every night, which had everything we wanted and more - was such a delight!

    The most amazing location! Situated perfectly just a short walk from Portofino, with a fantastic area with sun loungers and a restaurant/bar above the small public beach. We’re very pleased to receive a second room for our teenagers despite only having booked the family room. Had a great lunch at the beach bar. Hotel is beautiful from the outside with beautiful flowers decorating the balconies. Excellent breakfasts which were very reasonable in price.
