Staff were amazing! Friendly, courteous, helpful and always smiling. The location was incredible, with some of the most stunning views in Tuscany. The food was next level, as was the wine choice. The location is prime. Very beautiful views and sceneries. Excellent location for day trips. Right in the heart of Chianti. Florence is 1/2 hour away, Sienna 40 min. Very spacious rooms. Very clean.     San Casciano is remote in the beautiful Tuscan Hills, although just 40 minutes slow drive to Florence The hotel is 7 minutes outside the town, so walking is difficult. Need a car to go anywhere. Taxis are not available. This hotel is pretty good, but the much-acclaimed restaurant is, at best, just above average and pricey. Claims to be "special" but isn't! Terrace dining is romantic but watch the wasps in the daytime and mosquitos in the evening. Swmming pool fairly small and crowded. Grounds are pristine and lots of lovely bougainvillea. Reception staff smile a lot. Huge carpark!

    We were there with a family of 11 including grandparents.

    We were there with a family of 11 including grandparents. There’s no lift so if you’re not able to walk the stairs anymore you shouldn’t choose the house we rented. Other than that the house was like a museum with beautiful antique furniture which we loved. There is no airconditioning yet.

    Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas.

    Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas. The Staff was outstanding with smiles and open arms for any assistance we needed. Cooking class was fun, learning many new things none of us had known with our delightful chef who was patient and knowledgeable. Dinner at the restaurant was full of wonderful foods. The perfect place to explore wineries and take it down a few notches to relax and unwind.

    I would imagine that, like me, most people go there to visit...

    I would imagine that, like me, most people go there to visit the famous Antinori wine estate, one of the most spectacular & lavish wine estates for visitors in Europe, and one of the few that are comparable with what you would find in California, South Africa or South America. There's not a great deal else here that I am aware of - it's basically a few small villages. Good location for visiting other neighbouring parts of Chianti though. And, as noted in my review elsewhere of the Albergo Bargino, its attached fish restaurant, the Trattoria del Pesce, is worth a visit in itself.

    This was the perfect stay halfway through our Italy adventure to relax and reset. The staff, especially Lorenzo, were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. Our daughter was unwell, and they went out of their way to help. Rooms are lovely and spacious, pool was beautiful, breakfast was amazing, cooking class was fun. Great location, only 5-minute walk to town which had great restaurants.

    We absolutely loved this hotel. The site is beautiful, great pool and so many activities. We played bocce, watched a cinema movie in the garden, had a wine tasting experience, enjoyed a beautiful dinner outdoors and got to relax by the pool with good drinks. It was a little bit pricey, but definitely worth the money!

    The villa was amazing. We had a very good stay and felt welcome there. Staff was very attentive and positive. The location was in a beautiful place, with a view on Tuscany. The rooms had a historical and toscanian vibe and were very spacious. One of the best hotels I have ever been!
