This apartment could not have been any nicer (comfortable bed, great kitchen and well supplied). It worked perfectly for our trip to Tuscany as we did rent a car and this smaller village was fabulous to stay in. Plenty of free parking for the village just a short distance through the castle-like village, as you cannot drive through the village. There is a Michelin Star restaurant (La Toppa) right outside the door where they setup tables in the walk-way right outside the apartment (reservations required ;-) ...and is very reasonably priced. Great little Pizza spot in the main square of the village and a fabulous restaurant the Host recommended ( La Locando). There are exceptional wineries very near by(even walkable- Fattoria Montecchio) and we also went to an amazing spa (in Barberino Tavarnelle-COMO Castello Del Nero) a short drive away. You will not regret booking this apartment and the best ice cream/gelato is just a stroll through this little village in the evening. Wi-fi was perfect too, but the apartment has everything you could need in an upscale reno - where nothing was spared. A small market is within a walkable distance where we had shopped to have food in the apartment and we even cooked a couple of meals in the apartment. Leonardo could not have been more helpful for everything including suggestions of where to sightsee and he was immediately available via messaging for any questions we had. We are already considering to book for a month to go back (Heavenly)! We had perfect weather and always like visit Tuscany in Sept. or April. Also, the Chianti Classico Wine Festival in Greve is always the first weekend in Sept. and not to be missed if you are visiting Tuscany during the festival. Thank you Leonardo for the perfect spot and being a perfect Host!

A truly magical experience staying at Borgo Del Cabreo!! From start to finish, we were made to feel welcome, and cared for. The views are incredibly wonderful, yet private. Because of its limited accomodations, the guest list is small and thus, intimate. The Staff is very friendly, helpful and will go out of their way to care for their Guests. The location, while close to town, is private, behind an access gate. Facilites are exceptional and the heated pool is very inviting.

Location, friendly helpful staff in small quaint town. The swimming pool was perfect for a dip after long day of touring. Loved all the rose bushes and jasmine flowers. Had my best Campari Spritz there on balcony after a week of travel thru Italy! Parking was bonus. Great breakfast with a spectaculiar view.

Locanda Le Piazze was one of the most magical places on our Italian adventure. After the hustle & bustle of the cities, the Tuscan landscape was the ideal remedy. The hotel is ridiculously gorgeous - every corner is beautiful: the restaruant, gardens, pool, bar, foyer, main house - & the rooms are just perfect! The ideal, picture-book Tuscan dream. The staff were beautiful & just so welcoming : Zory was amazing (helpful, informative, sweet & kind) & makes a perfect espresso! The other staff were exactly the same - just lovely. Food was delicious - breakfast was perfect, dinners fabulous - highly recomend 'Bistecca Night'. This was absolutely luxury - we will definately be back.

Amazing property and location for a Tuscan Getaway. The place was beautiful with a good range of unique activities. We did truffle hunting, the communal town square dinner, wine tastings and a cooking class which were all extremely fun. Great for a 2-3 night stay and the welcoming staff made our stay feel effortless.

Beautiful village with good restaurants, but also able to...

Beautiful village with good restaurants, but also able to shop at a supermarket down the hill. Need a car to venture out but could easily stay and relax. Market on Fridays. Very glad we stayed here and did day trips rather than amongst the thousands of others in the main cities. The Tuscan restaurant in the centre is in the Michelin guide, but the others also good.

San Donato is a quaint medieval village within the Chanti...

San Donato is a quaint medieval village within the Chanti wine region. You will need a car if you plan to visit as public transportation is not readily available and you will want that car to visit the beautiful surrounding areas! Highly recommend what seems to also be a local's favorite, L'Ospitale del Pellegrino for morning coffee and breakfast, or aperitivo in the afternoon. Here you will meet tourists and locals (mostly) and enjoy friendly conversation in a welcoming atmosphere. They also have a deli where you can purchase items to cook yourself at your B&B. For dinner, La Locanda di Pietracupa stands above some of the other options. Wonderful food and service and a beautiful patio. As for things to do, I either walked around the village or drove to neighboring wine regions like Castellina, Panzano or Greve. But take some time to hang out in centro in San Donato and get to know the people! That's the best part about visiting a small town like this one.

The apartments were really nice, clean and cozy. We had every thing we needed, and there is only a short drive to the nearest shop and charming little town San Donato. The best thing about the stay was Andrea’s (the owner) hospitality. He invited us for a wine tasting which was one of the most memorable moments of our trip. We got to not only experience his fantastic wine, but also his passion for the wine and it’s process. We strongly recommend Agriturismo San Silvestro. We will definitely come back!

Tranquil setting in very well maintained and mature gardens. Amazing views from your front door. It's a bit like a little village of apartments/houses but it's classed as a hotel. Large swimming pool. Marco is a very attentive and approachable host. Good modern bathroom. A Coop down the road for the essentials. Excellent centre for exploring the Chianti region with lovely hilltop towns, wine tasting and good restaurants nearby.

Everything was perfect. My son and daughter and her boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Facilities were perfect, everything was clean and the whole building was beautiful. Giada was so helpful and made the stay so easy and even helped with organising taxis during our stay. The little village of San Donato in Poggio was charming and warm. A perfect stay!

Highly recommended! The apartment was very clean and tidy, and we felt very safe. They are in a very beautiful location and everything has been thought of, there is a kitchen and a lounge area both indoors and outdoors. Parking is available nearby. There is a town nearby with accessible restaurants. A very beautiful interior!
