We were here on a motorbike and traveling around Tuscany, we spent 2 nights here.It is a very sensitively renovated house, where you will find memories of the good old days, as well as beautifully modern bathrooms. This accommodation is definitely intended for people who are looking for peace, fresh air that they breathe into their lungs in the morning, breathtaking views and the feeling that no one is playing any tourist ballast on you. Francesco is a very nice guy and watch out!! an excellent cook, he would definitely deserve a Michelin star, his beef cheeks on wine were probably the best we've ever eaten. Plus, he makes his own wine.

It was a family run hotel with friendly staff. I can't speak Italian with only limited words, but the staff went out their way to help in any way they could. Location is bang in the middle of Portifino and Pisa and is a beautiful mountain view. The food from the restaurant is amazing!

Our room was spotless, neatly arranged, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Each morning began with a generous farmhouse breakfast: fragrant local cheeses, cold cuts, and jams all produced locally and bursting with flavor. Host Fabrizio embodies Italian hospitality. Although we arrived later than planned, he greeted us like old friends and with much care. Later, He personally opened the jacuzzi so we could unwind and relax. Throughout our visit, he checked in with genuine warmth, offered thoughtful tips on hiking trails and village trattorias, and made absolutely sure we lacked for nothing. Campo del Pillo is one of those rare places that feels both homely and special. Perfect for slowing down, breathing deep, and savoring life’s simple pleasures. We recommend it wholeheartedly and already look forward to our return.

Like in the comments I read before my booking I could verify that the reception was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was generous and good. The location was perfect to rest and relax and we enjoyed a lot the nature. I'm not sure if it is so quiet in the summer time too (??) but now in April it was excellent.
