If you compare Verona city center to that of Florence, it is far more condensed, which makes it easy to get around particularly on foot. If you're looking to take in most of the sites, purchasing the Verona Card makes life easier. That said, most sites are closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly. Verona is like a mini Florence with beautiful churches and amazing history without the extreme crowds, high prices and extreme touristy feel. It was much easier to get around in, less hectic and overall far friendlier and more fun to visit. The food there was better too and less expensive, more local feeling rather then one big tourist trap. Narrow cobblestone lanes, cozy cafés, the sound of street musicians, and the aroma of fresh espresso create a truly magical atmosphere. The Verona Arena is breathtaking — especially at sunset, when its ancient walls glow in golden light. The view from Ponte Pietra is simply unforgettable, and a stroll along the Adige River reveals the city’s romantic soul. Lovely city to walk around.

Very nice location to taste wine and very nice food. It is great to stay like 3 days to enjoy food , wines, drinks, location. Lots of places to see in the centre. I also recommend amongst all the good place as Arena, Juliette s house, Romeos house, Catacombs,... to go to the castle at the other side of the river taking the Ponto Pietra (castle is located at the front of Ponte Pietra) to have a wonderful panoramic view of Verona and taste food and drinks in the cafe terrace there.Guest review byBingölBelgium

The old town can also be easily reached by foot. It's certainly not a romantic hotel, but it's a great starting point for a train trip to Italy and exploring the city of Verona. Francesco on reception was very helpful as well. Abraham on overnight reception was very conscientious and he too is a real asset to the hotel.
