For those travelers going to Sorrento, I would recommend taking a stop in Vico Equense. Lots of place to eat, shop and visit. If you don't have a car give yourself extra time getting to and from as taxis are scarce and the buses really don't follow a schedule even though one is posted. Vico Equense is a charming little town between Naples and Sorrento. It takes 20 minutes to get to Sorrento by train, from where you can easily reach Positano, Amalfi or Capri by ferry, and in an hour you can be in the centre of Naples by train. We had ashort visit and enjoyed the beautiful views.The nature of the coastline requires a long walk down from the town to access the beach but there are small buses between the beach and the railway station. There was no swimming pool but there was a hot tub. We had a fridge in the room & a kettle which we used. There was a terrace from our room overlooking the sea towards Ischia which was shared with another room. Breakfast was between 8-10 every day with a choice bacon, omelette, croissant & pastries.
