The room was beautiful, especially the wide spa bathtub. The bed was comfortable and wide. The breakfast was full and tasty, especially the locally sourced honey. We were kindly allowed to leave our bags in the lobby after checking out, as we walked around Lucca for the afternoon.

We had an amazing experience at Albergo San Martino! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The location was perfect – very convenient and close to everything we needed. The rooms had a unique, bohemian charm to them (La Dogana&Nuccia), offering a cozy and special atmosphere that made our stay even more memorable. The breakfast was exceptional, just like the pictures, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay – highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and charming getaway!

One of the best boutique hotels we ever stayed in. The historical façade is charming and the interior is fully modern and renovated. The rooms are spacious. The bed and the pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. The staff was very nice, always accommodating our requests. And there is the possibility of parking your car in the hotel, which is very rare in Italian historical cities. I strongly recommend staying here if you go to Lucca!

The stay has been so wonderful. We arrived only a few days after the opening of the hotel. As soon as we entered the hotel I could tell that it was an old, but newly renovated building. You are met with gorgeous marble floor and a small and welcoming reception. The hotel is located right next to Puccini’s apartment, now a museum. And close to that again is the beautiful Piazza San Michele. Around the area are authentic and charming restaurants and cafés, it truely feels like you are in the heart of lucca old town. We were met with a super friendly staff member, Ranieri, who helped us to our room. The room was beautiful, it had that old authentic charm with tall walls, a large window with wooden shutters. The colours were modern, but felt Italian and cozy. We had everything we needed in the room, and more (since neither my husband or I watch TV, but there were a lot of movies to choose from if we wanted to). The room was so clean, and everyday the cleaning staff did a wonderful job at tidying and making it comfortable for us. All the staff were so friendly. And we couldn’t have wished for anything more, it was perfect.

    Art Hotel was beautifully situated in the hills south of Lucca. We know the area north of Lucca very well, but this area had a more refined and gentle landscape, with fancy villas, gorgeous landscapes, and great walking trails and tracks. The hotel itself was a beautifully restored Tuscan country house with rooms that looked cozy and brand new. We had a 2 bedroom suite which suited us, daughter and dog perfectly. Although our stay was short, we had only good experiences in and around the hotel.

    Wonderfully charming Tuscan estate with its own chapel and beautiful garden and large swimming pool. The English owner creates a very unique and very relaxed atmosphere. A good and very nice restaurant is around the corner and you can use the estate's kitchens (for your lunch, for example). Situated in a beautiful location close to Lucca. Top address!

    The property was located to several wedding properties in the area, mostly walkable distance; there is a bus stop right outside with a bus to Lucca center and a restaurant next door. Mario was helpful and made me feel at home. I felt safe as a solo woman traveller.

    Lovely property with very clean and comfortable rooms. Very quiet and beautiful village with a pretty garden view from the room. The most powerful water pressure I’ve had across Tuscany too. The host was very accommodating. Highly recommended.
