An incredibly comfortable and scenic location away from the crazy hub-bub that Hakuba’s biggest resorts have become, yet mere minutes from the resort and valley bus. I walked in ski boots and carried my skis to Hakuba Norikura (HakuNori) each day. The staff-san from Hiroshima is the best! She genuinely seemed to enjoy getting to know each of the guests and would send us off in the morning with “itterasyai” and greet us with “okaerinasai” upon our return and ask us how our day was. She would help all the foreigners figure out their needs big and small, often answering questions even after hours. Locals and foreigners both stay and there is friendly chatter at dinner for those who wish to join. I plan to come back next season! A customer appeared at the door to ask if he could book the entire place for next season, please don’t say yes! We want to come back.

Great staffs all of them especially the Japanese manager, Tom, Ned: thank you. Very clean n comfortable to stay many nights. Hot yummy BF was served daily. Location is next to bus station, gondola (5’ walk) and 3’ walk to chairlift on back road. Saved my energy carrying heavy ski equipment.
