The onsen was totally Japanese in style and attention to detail, very relaxing and with a staff dedicated to providing the best service. They were attentive and helpful. The room was a very nice size, came with a terrace overlooking the river. Service was excellent. The driver was waiting for us at the train station (we had communicated with the hotel on our arrival time). The waitress who tended to us for our meals was very friendly and made small talk with us. When we left, the driver even dropped us off at the car rental shop. Onsen was very relaxing. It’s expensive but the experience was fabulous. We were given traditional outfits to wear for the kaiseki style dinner in the room. The food was delicious & very plentiful. Breakfast was the same - so much food! The highlight was the private heated spa pool on the balcony.
