We timed our trip to co inside with the festival of lights and so pleased we got to experience the first night of the light festival before we moved on. Kurashiki is a beautiful, well preserved old town, much like Kyoto but without the crowds of tourists. The Folk Art Museum and the Kyosai Museum are particular highlights. Kurashiki is a great town, especially the old quarter.
Kurashiki is a great town, especially the old quarter. We stayed several nights but also did day trips from our accommodation. It was great to come back to Kurashiki at the end of the day.
