Staff come to pick me up at the airport and they even take us to Tomori Beach. On the check out day they also send us back to the airport by private car. Architecture is so modern and clean with Muji style and big room with high ceiling and one sofar and table for normal twin room. Big toilet as well. They have share area with lot of book and long wooden table (so quiet and private and feel so relax) Bus stop is infront of the hotel and 5 min walk to nearby beach | Taxi service is besides hotel as well as rental bike shop

The room was very different to what I’m used to in western hotels, but it was very comfortable and I slept well on the futon. Everything was clean and attractive. The hosts are a lovely family. A short anecdote from my brief stay: As it was my first time in Japan, I asked for food recommendations and they told me about a nearby restaurant. I didn’t have enough cash but I elected to withdraw money from across the street. So I drove to the restaurant, made sure it was open and there was room for me and to my surprise I found out that I had a reservation! Kindly booked by my hosts. I then went to withdraw some cash but the ATM couldn’t recognise my card, so I went back to the restaurant with the plan to just eat lightly with the limited cash I had. Then, out of nowhere, my hosts appeared at the restaurant, somehow with the knowledge that I was struggling, and offered to cover the whole dinner for me! They are kind hearted people that will do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay. I’d highly recommend this guesthouse, more so than any other I’ve visited before.

The owners were so friendly, they helped us with recommendations, getting to know the area and even organised a ride to a local restaurant for us to try out. They went above and beyond, also Miman itself is a beautiful place, the rooms were clean and the bathroom was large with 2 showers. There was even a shared lounge area with manga and access to cooking facilities. Overall an amazing place, highly recommend!

The couple who run this guesthouse are very nice and welcoming. Everything is very clean. My single room had comfortable bed and a desk; bath is down the hall. The optional Japanese breakfast is highly recommended--tasty and filling. For other meals guests use microwave and hot-water kettle to fix their own food. Quiet location with the gentle sound of the surf. I am on a bicycle ride and found the location ideal: A day's ride from Amami via Route 81, then a loop to Kasarizaka Lighthouse at northern end of island, then a ride south on Route 58.
