I enjoyed that everything was in walking distance.
I enjoyed that everything was in walking distance. The local people are very nice and helpful. The local food was delicious, and the environment was a relaxing atmosphere. If you get lost any local would help you with directions or even take you to your destination. Pakse had many Buddhist monuments that you can walk into and explore and take pictures. I loved the zipline over the Tad Fane Waterfall.

Pakse is probably one of the most beautiful places with really incredible people. We rented a bike, it was safe for us there are not many cars on the road and the ones on scooter drive safely. We rented the scooter via the hotel, drove the waterfalls and all around Paske.The have a great market, really good . restaurantsGuest review byDan - 4.0

Pakse is a small, dirty town without a clear center. Few good restaurants, and few people speak English. You have to have a scooter to get anywhere. There are interesting places in the area but not many of them are properly developed. Rather, their best years are behind them. Tina is friendly and entertaining but also a big help when it comes to recommendations, onward travel and SIM cards etc. The guesthouse is a relaxed space where you can chill out in the courtyard and a speaker is provided for you to listen to your own music if you like. The rooms are big and clean space, comfy too and good air con. Any backpacker I met in Laos who had been in Pakse recommended to stay there and I understand why. The ladies are so nice, everything is made simple for you from transportation, tours organisation. I was there during Christmas and they even offered the Xmas eve dinner to all guests !
