I was prepared for this place to be good and a step up in terms of luxury compared to my other accommodation on the Pekoe Trail but my expectations were, in fact, exceeded. Manu is the property manager and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and all of my needs met. For a young gentleman he has a lot of hospitality experience and manages the property with professionalism and charm. Chef Bandula - what can I say? His meals were better than I would expect from a 5 star establishment. Everything cooked to perfection and presented to a high standard. An evening meal in the restaurant in front of a blazing fire was a highlight. Morgan, who provided general assistance, was always at hand and seemed like part of the furniture (in a good, traditional way). Duminda who worked as a butler was also attentive and professional and I am sure has a good career in F&B ahead of him. If you are doing the pekoe trail and have been kind of roughing it for a few days then this is a good place to recuperate, get some washing done and prepare yourself for more walking. It is quite away from the end point of Trail 20 and start point of 21 but it was easy enough to get a 3-wheeler from Uda Pussellawa - if you call Manu, he can also support with this. The 3-wheeler charged $14 for the 20km trip which was reasonable. All in all an excellent place to stay, I highly recommend it.

A beautiful propery, managed by professional staff. Personal attention to clients. We overslept and missed breakfast time. Breakfast was cooked and kept for us. The room and facilities where excellent. Food was delicious and the Chef was brilliant!!

we spent an amazing weekend at this place. The staff prepared a very nice room for us with decorations and fruits in honor of our honeymoon. The atmosphere in this place is amazing! We loved our stay with Roshan and Amali. The location was great - up the hill with nice views and quiet from the busy town (easily walkable, but Roshan also dropped us a few times). Roshan and Amali know good local food spots and helpful with their knowledge, we even had a nice dinner together out with their friends which made our stay. I’d recommend staying here, it’s great value for money in the area, and the hosts are very kind.
