Good environment At night you can various animals sound because this is thick ungle area. Early morning you can vast typeof birds and their songs specially peacock. You can see somany peacocks around the hotel. Very mind relax. You dont feel any stress. Their meel also very good vilage type. Rooms comfortable excellent .like 5* hotel.

Our stay was really perfect. The hotel was one of the cleanest we had in Sri Lanka, the pool is awesome and invites for relaxed hours. The room and its equipment was also impeccable. We spontaneously prolonged our stay for one more night because we just loved it. Tharindu and the rest of the staff were super attentive and fulfilled every wish. The restaurant was also yummy and the prices were reasonable. They even gave us a free bottle of water for the onward journey. The organization of the full day safari was easy and we got to see elephants and leopards with our guide Dinuka. The guide was also very good as he was very experienced (one time he predicted the exact point of a leopard crossing the road). All in all: If we ever come back to Tissimaharama, we will definitely stay there again!

The property owner has been very helpful and friendly, he took us for a complimentary tuk tuk mini lake safari, we get to see crocodiles in the lake near the property with some beautiful species of birds and bats. On top of that, Wi-Fi was very good for remote work. Over all good value for money. Thank you Gayan!!

Extremely enthusiastic owner ready to bend over backwards to make the client happy. Able to arrange safari trips, scooter rentals, take you to bus station etc. Excellent home cooked dinner by owner's wife, a true masterchef, food for two could feed six, worth the value of the stay alone. Awesome Welcome & Farewell drinks, take away breakfast ready at 5:30 for our early morning safari trip, couldn't ask for more. Would rate 11 out of 10!!

Clean and lovely in a beautiful location. The family are so warm and welcoming. They accommodated our dietary requests easily and we’re very sweet to our children. The lake front is picturesque, delicious home cooked and garden harvested food, and our trip to Kataragama was unforgettable. Such warm hospitality from our hosts. Thank you to the family which provided us this unforgettable stay here in Tissa. They are so friendly and helpful. Furthermore, very clean room and nice view over the lake especially for sunrise. The room was very big and we felt very comfortable. The safari the owner provided was amazing, we saw many animals. We did a sunset tour. To mention: I twisted my ankle some days ago when we were hiking in Ella and the owner of Double Lake View Tissa went with us to a hospital and drove us to pharmacy. This was so kind. Also the food was very nice. Overall, this stay was one of our best we had in Sri Lanka, we would definitely come back again.

The property was off the beaten track (but easy access to town by tuk tuk) so was lovely and quiet. The rooms were large and extremely clean and comfortable. The showers had hot water too. Mithila was such a fabulous host. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so friendly and approachable. Mithila organized our yala safari which was phenomenal. We had Nuwan as our driver and guide and he went above and beyond for us to have the best yala experience possible. He certainly made that happen as we saw so many animals including a leopard. We couldn’t recommend both the cabanas to stay and the safari highly enough! (We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children- 6, 7 and 9).

Literally everything was perfect! Host is such a kind and caring person. WiFi works great, view from terrace is stunning, room is extremely clean with hot water. Food they offer is very delicious, they offer different kinds of curry, all of them are great. When I went for safari she even prepared a breakfast for takeaway for me. I’d definitely come back again.
