The hotel staff are very attentive to guests’ needs - be it booking car transfers or showing the best hike routes in the area. This place is a gem and we look forward to coming back.

Very welcoming and helpful family. They cooked us dinner, gave us lots of delicious cake, snacks and tea. They drove us to Horton plains by tuktuk and picked us up for a good price, helped us organizing, brought us to the train station for free. Room was clean and very nice.

We stayed with Meena Amma for three short days, and wished we had longer. Meena’s hospitality is note perfect, and her traditional Sri Lankan meals the best we have enjoyed in our time on the island. The setting of the two line rooms is stunning, from the beautiful sunrises to the peaceful evenings in the valley. I lived in a family room and it’s comfortable to sleep. The common living area was really incredible decorated. I really like it and worth to take lots of photos. It’s really relaxed to enjoy delicious meals over there. The house seems surrounded by flower garden. We all like that very much. Thanks for serving us one night.

It was an extremely nice stay! The people were really nice and even organized a pickup from the trainstation (without us asking for it:). In the morning we wanted to leave at 5:30 to the Horton Plains and they even proposed to give us lunch packages at that time! (We had to decline since we had already bought some snacks but I would have loved to do that!) Dinner was also proposed to prepare at 9 or 10 pm! Which we sadly also had already eaten. But all these offers were really nice and the room itself was also very nice and clean:)
