What truly elevated my experience was the exceptional staff. Every member, from reception to housekeeping and the restaurant team, provided genuine warmth and attentiveness, making me feel like a valued friend. Their friendly smiles and readiness to assist were remarkable. The accommodations were a tranquil haven: spacious, beautifully appointed, and impeccably clean, offering a perfect retreat. Beyond the comforts, the atmosphere of Swiss Bay Hotel strikes a perfect balance between lively energy and peaceful relaxation. My time here was an absolute dream. Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Tucked away in Pottuvil, just a short walk from the surf point, this boutique hotel feels like a little slice of heaven. The design is so thoughtful — six cozy cabanas surrounded by nature, a beautiful pool, and the best mango lassis we’ve had in Sri Lanka. What truly made our stay unforgettable were the owners — a kind and welcoming Swiss couple who made us feel like part of their family. Their warmth, love, and attention to detail created an atmosphere that felt both homelike and magical. We loved being in this quieter corner of the coast, away from the busy center of Arugam Bay, where you can still surf, spot elephants by the beach (yes, really!), and reconnect with nature.

Location is perfect - right in front of the beach and all visits easily reachable by walking (main point 3min) or tuk tuk (peanut farm beach / elephant rock) Breakfast was great. Especially i want to mention the stuff, they were super happy, supportive and helpful with every question or request. One of the best hotels we have been so far. Clean, nice, feels luxurious for a good price (156€ 3 nights in april).

I am incredibly impressed with the outstanding customer service at this establishment. While traveling for work, I had to take public transport and required a very late check-in at 4 AM. Many other places either refused me or tried to charge for two full days, even though I was only staying for a few hours. In a last-minute decision right before boarding my bus, I booked this hotel and explained my situation. To my relief, they immediately agreed to my request without any hesitation or additional fees. When I arrived in the early hours of the morning, everything was perfectly prepared for me. The place itself is lovely, with a unique touch: each room has its own private outdoor seating area complete with a sofa, table, and even a ceiling fan. On top of all that, the location is fantastic, right in the heart of town, making everything easily accessible by foot. I can't recommend this place enough, especially for their wonderful hospitality!
