"Tranquil Wild truly lives up to its name! We stayed in a *Deluxe Double Room with breathtaking lake views* and woke up to peacocks dancing on the lawn. The staff, ***especially Anne (owner) and Amal, were exceptional,they arranged a safari to Yala Block 6 (just 10 mins away!) where we spotted elephants and leopards. The **food was a highlight**: authentic Sri Lankan curries and Western options, all served in an open-air dining area. Don’t miss the **sunset boat ride on the lake**—pure magic! Clean, spacious rooms and a serene pool sealed our perfect stay. We’ll be back!"

I have had two awesome nights at this place. Expect a very basic but clean house and a fantastic owner. He organised all sorts of things for me, including a great safari. We were almost completely alone there and were able to marvel at a family of elephants with a baby twice. He showed me local traditions and I really enjoyed him as a host. In the morning I was able to watch playing monkeys for hours in front of the terrace. It was really fun.

Our stay at this charming riverside cottage was unforgettable. The food and beverages were fresh, delicious, and full of local flavor, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Just a short 5 km ride from the property, there’s a beautiful river where we enjoyed a refreshing bath while feeding the fish — such a rare and peaceful experience. We also had a fantastic BBQ night under the stars, and the surroundings were perfect for bird watching in the early morning. The calm, natural setting truly helped me unwind and release stress. The team at flameback were pretty amazing especially Sampath and Varun, they took of every need we had. The property is very well maintained with all the facilities. Only improvement suggested is better lighting in the room as it was pretty low lit.

The people make the place even better. I would love to go back again and stay more nights. You can also buy cinnamon sticks, black pepper etc… direct from their farm… so it’s cheap.
