There was plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 kids. It was a little warm in the loft but with an open window and the fan, it was fine. The entire apartment was so clean and well maintained. The host responds quickly and kindly and communicated very well throughout our stay. I would stay here again.

My intended destination was Luxembourg city.

My intended destination was Luxembourg city. I only stayed at Esch-sur-Alzette because it was the only accommodation I found within my budget at the time I was there. Luxembourg offers beautiful green parks and deep and dense green nature integrated around many parts of the city. It is well organised, reliable, and efficient. One very super comfortable and practical aspect of Luxembourg is the fee public transport including trams and trains! It was amazing. You just hop on and stop wherever you want in Luxembourg free of charge. And it works like clock work. You can plan and rely on it. However there is one thing I really did not like about Luxembourg. In Luxembourg I found more of a certain kind of people than I found even in Stockholm if you know what I mean! So as much as advanced, civilized and adorned with natural beauty Luxembourg is, the demography is spoiled with the invasion of a certain kind of people I hate even to look at.

I was here for business and the Ibis I stayed in was doing what it needed, I slept decently. I saw very little of the town, so I cannot recommend this. I went to the Agile Tour Luxembourg which I definitely CAN recommend :)

The city had really good bus service.

The city had really good bus service. However, getting there and back to the airport in Luxembourg (Findel) is far too difficult. This may be a result of the massive construction in and around Luxembourg's train stations. What should have been an easy trip back and forth did not happen.

There were local establishments within close proximity for eating and socializing. There is also a super market in town for the nights if you want to stay in. The old Steel factory is a cool sight to see; fully rejuvenated to fit within the community to embrace its past glory days of processing & manufacturing Steel. Public transportation is available but was not feasible for direction I needed to go. I was very dependent on a local friend to get me around the area. There is a large parking garage below the Del Haize grocery store for those that bring or rent an automobile.

Esch/Alzette is a former main city of the Luxembourg steel...

Esch/Alzette is a former main city of the Luxembourg steel industry in the 1960/1970. In 2022, Esch/Alzette is one of three <Culture City of Europe>. Unfortunately, the decline and decadence since the steel industry crises in the 1980 is visible. The local public authorities didn't manage to change this trend and to upswing the city to new glory.

I don't understand how there is a high rating there. I think there are almost no real comments there! Homeless people, dirt!!! when I saw this horror, I just left this hostel, I understand that I paid 80 euros for 2 nights, but I did not want to stay there. Unfortunately, it was impossible to return the money. !! It is better to pay extra for a better room in a hotel than to ruin your psyche in such a place.!!

Great place to stay if you are staying for a few days. Kitchen makes it feel like home rather than a hotel. Aldi downstairs to buy food to make in kitchen. Secure parking in the basement (although quite expensive per day). All in all, a great choice if you are staying in the area for a few days.

The location is brilliant for me; the hotel is situated right next to University of Luxembourg and just across Belval Plaza. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around and in 2-3 minutes walking distance from the train station and many bus stops.
