The market square in the evening is very busy but there's not really much variety in entertainment. Beware of pickpockets and thieves. I did encounter one trying it on with me, and another who stalked me at an ATM. Do the Guru walk with Youssef. He is brilliant. There's a restaurant where they do meat roasted in a pit. Gordon Ramsey's been there. The lamb is okay, but ask for shoulder. The beef is excellent. It is overpriced though. Girls, don't wear mini skirts. There is no pc correctness in Morocco.

I was there again and I always find something interesting in the city and its surroundings. This time I encountered an attempt to overcharge the taxi fare. You can eat meals without any worries, even in small bars, they are tasty.

It was an interesting trip and we enjoyed the activities but it isn't suitable for people with limited mobility. The food is interesting but you need to find basic local cafes, rather than high priced restaurants.

The people and the food were best.

The people and the food were best. Next the attractions and souks. Probably a guided tour would be best. Didn’t like the traffic and erratic driving especially scooters and motor bikes in the souks driving too fast in confined spaces with lots of pedestrians and emitting large quantities of exhaust fumes.

    This trip exceeded our expectations!

This trip exceeded our expectations! Marrakech is a vibrant, friendly and safe city. Everything in the old city was within walking distance. Haggling with the souk owners was always friendly! Take extra space for all the lovely times you will purchase!! Hotel recommendations for food were amazing. Reasonably priced - approx 20-30euros each for 3 courses. The street was cheap and delicious. We avoided the main square juice makers upon recommendation but hardly mango juice became an addiction!

The old city inside Marrakesh is a very exciting and hectic place. To navigate through the thousands of vendors, you must have a phone with a maps program. The many markets are connected by a maze of narrow stone streets with motorcycles and people and donkeys carts. It was interesting for a day but a lot of the vendors sell the same products. There are also a lot of products from China like Rolex and Adidas. If you can, book a tour where you can watch the craftsman work, i.e., leather working or metal working stalls - it’s fascinating. Also book a tour to the Atlas Mountains. There are villages up there still recovering from the earthquake two years ago, but there are also waterfalls and it is very green.

The service from Moroccan employees was perfect, I had an issue in the shower for water pressure and they sent me a technician in less than 5 minutes that fixed it, same after asking for iron I got it in my room in less than 5 minutes, perfect value for money in a 5 stars hotels in Hivernage area, near to all fancy restaurants and city center (Gueliz & Medina). We didn’t get any thing from spa but we were inside and it looks very luxurious, especially the pool with Moroccan lights.

An excellent choice if you’re looking to experience the city while enjoying the comfort and convenience of an internationally styled hotel. The service is attentive and professional, and it’s a rare plus to be able to sip a cocktail by the pool — a welcome luxury in Morocco. Its location strikes a great balance: close enough to the old medina for easy exploring, but tucked away just enough to offer a more relaxed atmosphere.

Authentic riad about a twenty minute walk to the main square. If you’re looking for 5 star luxury then this might not be the place for you but if you want a very friendly and comfortable stay then I would highly recommend it. Being based here we got a real experience of Marrakech life, the busy streets, the shops and the people. The hotel manager was always friendly and helpful and the rooms have everything you need.

Such a good spot, right behind Jemaa El Fnaa, but with all the luxury you expect from a 5 star hotel. Good WIFI, beautiful surroundings and absolutely lovely front desk staff. Abdelatif and Abdelatif (from 2 different shifts) were helpful and amazing as usual and there was lady who helped me at check in (who’s name also began with A (maybe Alina)) that are absolutely amazing. They are a reason to come back alone.
