Hotel is in a small Macedonian village and it really exceeded my expectation. very calm, peaceful, relaxing location in a large room with charming staff. I strongly recommend expecially for families who seek for relaxing holidays.

We had a great stay at Kitka Hostel on our first day of our bicycle tour through North Macedonia. The owner is super friendly and outdoor-affine, making the best out of your stay. The breakfast was great and there is a communal kitchen where we cooked our own meals. Exploring the small villages with friendly people around is another great plus!

We visited the village in summer while it is clearly a ski...

We visited the village in summer while it is clearly a ski resort. That means that the surrounding landscape is somewhat spoiled by ski lifts, etc., but the mountains are great, with a number of beautiful hiking trails, some leading to peaks over 2500 m high. The village itself is rather densely built but has its charm. Remember, however, to bring your groceries with you as there are almost no shops around and most restaurants are closed in summer.
