The property was small - only 22 rooms. The rooms were spacious, well maintained and clean. The staff were extremely nice and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasure. Le Skippers restaurant, on the property served great breakfast. We dined there several times and the meals were very good. They also made excellent cocktails which were perfect to have while watching the sunset over the ocean.

We spent two unforgettable weeks at the Anakao villa (March 2023). It was our first time at Mauritius. If you’re driving by car at night - pay attention- it is easy to miss. The location is convenient if you plan to travel a lot around the island. We used it as a base to go to locations north and south. After a long journey, we had a great welcome by the by super friendly hotel manager Ben and his dog Zuru. Ben told us all the sights we need to visit and other local advice (groceries, beaches, rhumeries etc. ) We were staying in the red room. It was big, nice and clean. We had access to a big balcony with view to the garden. The swimming pool was great and we spent a lot of time either in or around the pool. We enjoyed the view from the swimming pool every day! Although, there’s no sandy beach, there’s a carved out access to the ocean, where you can swim, kayak ( gear available) or snorkel. The hotel also provides swimming shoes to protect against steeping sharp stones. We were thinking of going out for dinner every night, but the dinner at the Villa was so delicious that we ate there every night. Especially, we liked the desserts. There I tasted the best cheesecake in my life. We actually had a true 5 star service. It was raining, so we ordered by phone from the kitchen and they brought the food under an umbrella! Somehow we really felt treated well. The Villa ambiance was very relaxing and family-oriented, all the staff was super friendly and supportive.

Amazing place! Definitely the best hotel in Port Louis. We were taken care very well and we got help anytime we needed it. Particularly helpful was the son of the owner. He would ask as whether we were fine or needed something. After we decided to extend our stay, we received chocolate as a present for being loyal guests. We had an fantastic time and we also found the restaurant splendid. We both agreed that we ate the best pizza margarita ever! Strongly recommended.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at the enchanting Hotel Le Suffren in Mauritius, and I must say, it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, my daughter and I were transported to a world of pure elegance and grace. One of the true highlights of our stay was the culinary journey we embarked upon at the hotel's restaurant, where we had the privilege of being dazzled by the extraordinary sushi chef, Ritchy. His artistry with sushi was a revelation, and the flavors danced on our taste buds like a symphony. In fact, it's safe to say that this dining experience was the pinnacle of our culinary adventures in Mauritius. During our stay, a minor maintenance issue cropped up in our room. However, I was absolutely astounded by the swift and professional manner in which the duty manager addressed the situation. Not only did they resolve the issue with precision and care, but they also surprised us with a gracious refund for one night's stay. This unexpected gesture of goodwill touched our hearts deeply.
