We had the most wonderful stay and we can't praise it enough! Jessica, the owner, greeted us with the warmest welcome, making us feel like old friends. The apartment was spotlessly clean, it had a nice shower and the bed was good - simply amazing! What truly enchanted us was the charming ambiance of the apartment, named Africa. It felt like a cozy haven, and we instantly felt relaxed. The breakfast, though not extravagant, was just what we needed to start our day. Plus, the symphony of birdsongs in the surrounding area was a delightful bonus. Location-wise, it couldn't be more perfect. It's smack in the center of all, and the beach is just a stone's throw away. Jessica was an absolute gem, providing us with fantastic tips and recommendations for exploring the beautiful Mauritius island. A bit beaten town, lots of drunks and abandoned houses. There are some nice restaurants around (Chez Tino, Green Island Beach Restaurant) and places to visit (Île aux Cerfs, GRSE waterfall), but overall not to stay for too long.

The village is charming, easy to go on the boat to other islands. I recommend a visit to Ile aux Cerf, you can relax or do some sport e.g waterski, swimming. By boat to GRSE Waterfall. Take a BBQ lunch to one of the other island there.

It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life.

It is a great location to see traditional Mauritian life. A few minutes bus ride is the unspoilt beach at Palmar. It is the best beach we have seen on the island. The reef is close to shore and the water is crystal clear.
