    It is a place that we had never visited before.

    It is a place that we had never visited before. We like the closeness to shopping and restraunts as 2 of us had mobility issues. People were very friendly. Taxi service available close by. Entertainment in the park 2 blocks away. Very clean city.

    Make sure you find out which beaches are swimable before you...

    Make sure you find out which beaches are swimable before you go, and if you go snorkling go with a guide. The currents can be strong - and some dangerous- so a guide will help avoid that and provide support. Public bathrooms have no toilet seats, sometimes there is no toilet paper, and sometimes the only way to flush is with water. The people are friendly and helpful and wonderful. Most do not speak English but you’ll make friends everywhere you go. The seafood is outrageously good. Eat as much seafood as you can. I didn’t go into town so I can’t speak to that. I loved it.

    It is very very hot in May, I'm sure its more comfortable in December. The Zocalo area has many restaraunts and shops around it that are quite nice. The people are all very friendly and no pushy salespeople.

    It's a clean well laid out city.

    It's a clean well laid out city. Personally, though we liked it it was too Americanized for us for long term. We enjoyed Mazunte prior to arriving so that was more authentic and hip and to our style.

    The Resort was clean and in a great location.

    The Resort was clean and in a great location. Customer service at check-in was decent. Our only complaint was that our room did not have hot water. They did offer us a different room but it was late and to much trouble to repack. You are not allowed to bring offsite drinks or food to the pool you can only purchase food and drinks from the adjacent restaurant The adjacent restaurant was good and customer service was great.

    Santa Cruz Huatulco is essentially a sun/heat/pool/beach location. Due to its increasing popularity as a tourist destination, prices have escalated in the last 4 years. In fact quite sustainably. Hotel, food and boat excursion prices are similar to those in most Canadian cities. Taxi fares are quite reasonable. If you are looking for cultural activities (museums, galleries, concerts, etc.), this is not a good location. Be prepared for earthquakes.

    The terrace balcony. Good shower. Very clean. Lock box in the room. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location with quick access to the beach, both the hotel's beach club, and the Santa Cruz beach. There were lots of restaurants in the area. There is a pedestrian walkway right beside the hotel that leads to La Crusecita town and a large superstore. It takes about 15 minutes. Gorgeous weather. Around 30 C midday and 21-24 at night.

    The pool and pool area is lovely. Probably the best part of the hotel. The beds are extremely hard and as this was my second stay here, after my first night I asked for either a room with a more comfortable bed or a mattress overlay. They were very accommodating The restaurants are great. Juan who does pool service is one of the nicest hardest working employees there. He always has a smile and a word

    The location very central to most everything and taxis are very inexpensive here. The hotel is a simple Mexican hotel, beds are comfy and rooms are very clean. Staff was most helpful and most friendly. The owner has dogs that may bark on occasion, this was not a problem for us. Remember you are in Mexico.

    Overall we had an amazing experience at Las Brisas. This is not a typical luxury hotel that we were used to but was more authentically a Mexican experience. The beaches were fantastic and were one of our favorite things. The property is beautiful and the views were excellent and we plan to return!
