The Hotel is great! It has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. I was very surprised about how lovely the place was decorated. Itˋs a perfect place to slow down and relax for a few days including the possibility to go to one of the national parks close by. It was really quiet at Night and also during the day by the Pool. The staff is really friendly and breakfast is good.

We had an amazing time here! The sea view outside of the tree house is beautiful and there are surprising few mosquitoes (none at night actually, maybe because it's dry season). We love the jungle trails and private beaches, and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. Food provided at the cafe are also delicious and reasonablly priced (big portion). We even saw several proboscus monkeys outside of the tree houses.

Unmatched mountain panoramas from a private terrace or pool are perfect for relaxation and sunrise/sunset moments. Besides that, the room is quite spacious and comfortable layout for honeymooners which includes a freestanding bath and separate living space.     Our visit to Santubong was a peaceful escape into nature’s beauty. Surrounded by lush green hills and set against the South China Sea, the area offers breathtaking views—especially during sunset at Damai Beach. The calm waves, golden skies, and majestic silhouette of Mount Santubong made it a perfect spot for reflection and photography. While we enjoyed the stunning scenery and relaxing atmosphere, some parts of the beach and resort surroundings could benefit from better maintenance to preserve the natural charm. Still, Santubong remains a wonderful destination for those who appreciate quiet moments, nature, and beautiful coastal landscapes.

    Breakfast selection was very limited and the time taken for replenishment was slow. The pool facilities overall was as what we expected (decent), but we had a very unpleasant experience with the team building group that were present. There was loud techno music being played by the pool reception staff and when I approached him to request for him to either change the music or tone down the volume, he informed me that the music was requested by the other guests. I was later informed by the staff concerned that he did not have a choice but to honor the guests requests (which is totally understandable), but what made it a total turn off was the fact that the management did not put conditions on these types of guests requests which potentially disrupts the peace and serenity. I could go elsewhere if I'm being a "Karen" about this feedback, but it's my honest review. Apart from the crappy techno / rave music that was blasting from the pool area and the poor selection of breakfast, I'd give 4 stars for the service/ hospitality by the staff in general.

    Nice place for the location, beach & mountain.

    Nice place for the location, beach & mountain. Breakfast & other meals can be improved ~ however we should give management grace period post lockdown. Please improve the wifi - it can’t be used. Visit Cultural Village- it is within walking distance & nicely set up.

    Extremely friendly staff. Very friendly welcome with drinks, and small snack. Huge room. Nice view over the sea. Definetely the best option in the region. Breakfast was very nice, automatic coffee machine, espresso, capuccino....etc. Restaurant in evening served very nice food which was very well presented. Prices for wine not too high. Good parking options for cars. Extremely big swimming pool. Relatively clean beach, warm water.

    Beautiful place, on the very edge of the jungle. On occasions the wildlife comes past the house, saving you the trouble of going out to find it. Gracious hosts, generous with time and knowledge. So close to the city, and yet so beautifully rural. And all in the shadow of beautiful, imposing and enticing Mount Santubong. What more could you want.

    We stayed here for 3 nights. This was one of the nicest, charming and most atmospheric hotels I have ever stayed in. It seems as if you have ended up in the garden of Eden when you enter the door. Breakfast and three course dinner are included in the price and dinner was varied and tasty every day. The beds were wonderful. A real winner!
