Easy to reach the slopes with ski bus. Rooms were comfortable. The brewery and restaurant was nice to hang out in the evening. Breakfasts had a small selection but it was really good, especially the bread was amazing.

Wow! Trysil truly impressed us. We usually switch destinations every year for our annual ski holiday, but we’re definitely coming back to Trysil next time. Aside from the beautiful scenery, we loved the ski lifts and the conditions, which are perfect for all levels of skiing, especially for families. What a fantastic experience!

Trysil is a lovely little resort.

Trysil is a lovely little resort. It would be perfect for skiers who are learning or on their second trip maybe. It is a fairly quiet resort, which suited us fine. Great for ski in/out. We are in our mid 50s, and seasoned skiers, so a few days was plenty to cover everywhere. Plenty of places to eat, for young families too. Taste Bar/Restaurant/Cafe was our favourite. A small resort, so everywhere is close by. Great transportation if you need that too. The town is a 25 min walk away, with a nice little shopping centre if needed.

Over 80+ km of slopes offer a variety for all levels for both skiers and snowboarders at a very low altitude with excellent snow depth in December. The slopes are well-maintained and illuminated. The lift infra is aging and does not match the peak demand well. Main lifts like T1-T2 are congested and also malfunctioning. Food choices exist, but only one option at higher altitudes exists. There are few ski shops and only one rental shop, which has a wide variety of helpful stuff. Overall, there is a high level of safety and an additional flavor with night skiing options.

Excellent small skiing area.

Excellent small skiing area. Ideal for beginners/intermediates. Expert skiers will be bored, although there is one specific black run that is very challenging. Most red/black runs are wide open and when compared to Alpine resorts would be classed as no more than hard blues or easy reds. Plenty of mountain restaurants.

The hostel is superb. I was staying with my 2 sons for a short ski trip. The facilities are excellent- great showers/ WC facilities- drying room- everything you need - good kitchen, dining and communal areas. Cleanliness is immaculate The hostel is set in an amazing area next to the river. You should have in your mind that it's a hostel and not a 5 star full service hotel

Our stay was simply wonderful. The apartment felt warm and inviting, with everything perfectly prepared for a comfortable stay. Waking up to the view of the snowy mountains and quiet forests was unforgettable, and the atmosphere made us feel completely at peace. A truly cozy place that captures the beauty and calm of Norway.

Location was perfect (ski in / ski out). The hotel had storage space for ski equipment. Room were spacious. There was a gaming room and bowling, in addition to spa (haven't tried) and indoor pool (haven't tried either).

Good value for money. The appartement was as we expected. The second bedroom is small but works perfectly fine. Very helpful personel. We would like to go back to Trysil-Knut hotel :-)
