We would get freshly prepared local Nepali food which was absolutely delicious! They have a wide selection of authentic local food to choose from. If you're in the right season, you can also get to try some fresh local honey! The location of the homestay is great, it is very close to the entrance of the national park. We had a great stay here, and had some incredible wildlife sightings (Rhinos, elephants, tigers, hornbills) thanks to the sharp eyes of Tek Bahadur (fondly called Pappu). Will definitely come to visit again!

An authentic gem on the edge of Bardia National Park! The staff of this family-run lodge is very friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and based on the vegetables they grow in their own garden, and it is very well located in a quiet area. Anil, who speaks English, French and Hindi, even helped me organise two safari days in the jungle. I really recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and affordable place to stay close to Bardia National Park.

Staying at this homestay felt like being home, Sadul and his family are some of the kindest people I have come across during my travels. The passion and dedication they have for giving their guests a good experience is unmatched. I’m happy to be the first ever Egyptian guest at this place! The rooms are spacious and spotless, the food is some of the tastiest I have had in Nepal, all organic and made with love by Sadul's family. The surroundings of this place are so serene and the sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking. Sadul will arrange everything you need like Jeep Safari, walking Safari, and you can even rent a bike to go around the area. I was traveling solo and I have met some amazing people at this homestay, this place is very social, and Sadul and his family will make sure everyone is comfortable. Bardiya is indeed a beautiful place and staying in a place like this was the highlight of my time there.

recently had the pleasure of staying at Wild Planet Eco Retreat in Bardia National Park, and it was an unforgettable experience. The entire team, comprised of dedicated local workers, demonstrated a sincere passion for wildlife conservation.The highlight of my stay was the guided jungle walk with Baba, an exceptionally skilled guide and photographer. His professionalism and ability to capture stunning wildlife moments left me in awe. Baba's dream of creating awareness about wildlife and its importance to people is truly commendable.This retreat is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, offering not just a comfortable stay but also a chance to connect with nature in a meaningful way. Had a short but very pleasant stay, thanks to the friendly and helpful owner Krishna, as well as the personel. There's a variety of food options available at the restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and overall I'd say you get value for money. I also arranged an enjoyable walking safari with Krishna, though I didn't get lucky with the wildlife. Better luck during my next visit!

Budhi and Sonja are excellent an attentive hosts. There good communication before my arrival. The atmosphere is very welcoming, with a lovely garden with a fire pit to keep the chills away. The food was delicious and I ate outside in the garden every day. The Homestay is set in a rural location with many authentic farms/homesteads within walking distance. There was a vast range of activities from walks to various safari's and all arranged by the Homestay. I was lucky enough to see a Tiger along with many other animals and birds on one of the walking safari's in Bardia National Park. The room was clean and spacious and I really appreciated the ethical/sustainable attitude towards waste here.

We have visited Bardia National Park 4 times. There are a lot of lodges and resorts, and they all offer pretty much the same things. But Bardia Wildlife Resort TRULY stood out. We stayed in a newly renovated room with air conditioning, good wifi, excellent meals. We took all our meals in the beautiful garden. We were surprised to see pizza and lasagna on the menu! And even more surprised when it really WAS pizza and lasagna! A welcome change from the usual Nepali food. The personal attention was incredible! Hira, the owner, took my wife into town to a fabric store where they made her two comfortable dresses for 1700 rupees, about 14 USD. I work in health care, and they arranged a visit to a local clinic, as well as the usual jeep and walking trips into the park.

    It was incredible being able to wake up to breathtaking views of the river and wildlife. We were very pleased the airport pickup all went smoothly. The treehouse was beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. Thought had gone into every detail of the design. The meals were delicious and the chef even asked us what type of cuisine we wanted for the following day. We felt safe and cared for at all times. The organisers were wonderful hosts.

    I love the village life and how they treat life as a simple...

    I love the village life and how they treat life as a simple entity. Most of the food is organic and I think the villagers aren't fully aware that their food is 100% organic. The surrounding villages around Bardia blew my mind, I love the place
