Location was fantastic, close to everything yet still quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. Clean, modern room, comfortable bed and shower facilities. Even loved the makeup towel, nice touch, as i hate leaving white towels with makeup on it. Amazing for the price we paid. Will use again.

Very friendly staff - thank you to the amazing lady at reception who checked us in. We booked a standard cabin & it was perfect for what we needed. Our cabin and common facilities like washroom, showers & toilets were always clean. Very relaxing area. The bed made it even more comfortable of a stay, we slept thru the night like newborn babies!! The sun heats up the room during the day & we didn’t need the heater at night. Will definitely be booking here again on our next visit. It’s also within walking distance to the shopping & town centre.

Such a lovely stay here, has everything you need for your stay,cleaned everyday. Lovely host very friendly. The host even turns the heaters on in the room on cold days before you get back. Fabulous hospitality. Five stars from me.

    Friendly, with lots of eating places, so varied food available. Lots of play areas for kids. At Cobb & Co, I booked a group booking for 25 guests on Sunday afternoon and was very pleased with everything there. The food was good as well as the friendly staff.

    Levin is a service town rather than a holiday destination...

    Levin is a service town rather than a holiday destination but it provided a pleasant, close to home place for a minibreak for me. Cobb and Co good for meals. Beaches reasonably close. Need own transport.

    Very respectful very clean nice and quiet I think I was the noisy one sorry to the owners 🙈 very close to everything so I highly recommend the Totara Lodge very much so I definately would go back there myself and stay longer in the same room if I'm able too 👍 Merry Xmas guys and a happy new year to you 🎄🤗

    Motels which are on the main State Highway one can be busy...

    Motels which are on the main State Highway one can be busy and unless adequately sound proofed you should try and avoid them or use ear plugs for sleeping, also the speed limit determines the degree of road traffic noise and also the main rail line runs through the town and at least 3 freight train thunder through during the night which are as noisy as the trucks.

    Car parking was shocking, room was sabby, no fresh towels in bathroom , no face cloths, or floor mats, shower was old as, not kitchen sick to wash dishes, had to was the cups in the hand basin, mold in room, now extra blankets. Ok itt was cheaper then the other hotels but come on.

    Park out the front door and most importantly I was able to have my dog stay with me as we were traveling to the South Island. Levin to the Ferry right on an hour. So super handy for the crossing and a good night's sleep first. Thank you Totara Lodge.
