The hosts (Graeme and Deborah) go above and beyond with making your stay memorable. We had a freshly baked chocolate cake, fresh goodies from their garden, in addition to a well stocked supply of breakfast items. We woke up one morning listening to the magpies (birds) singing and the dairy cows next door right up against the fence within arms reach, ending the day watching and hearing the kākās (parrots) flying overhead - making us feel like it was a farm stay. An easy 30 minute drive to Hobbiton and 1hr to Waitomo Caves, plus an enjoyable short walk to riverside trails and suspension bridge make this an ideal location.

This hotel has a special factor in that it has a natural thermal spa in its garden! What a delight to be able to try out the 3 ponds next to the river, where we saw a visiting seal. All the meals we had were exceptional value and quality abs the staff were warm and welcoming.

Great, quiet spot near a road but not noisy. Wonderful Appartment, great Gardens directly infront, meadows and cattle all around. Huge Appartment for 2, more than enough space and all the amenities one could need.

She eagerly offered assistance and guidance for local attractions, ensuring that I made the most of my stay. The room itself was cozy and inviting, with all the necessary amenities to provide a relaxing stay. The decor was well-thought-out, and the overall atmosphere made me feel right at home. It was evident that Tracy took great care to ensure every aspect of the guest experience was top-notch. Additionally, the breakfast was both delicious and abundant, serving as the perfect start to my day. What a wonderful cottage, excellent renovation, everything was perfect, could not have asked for more. Would have loved to stay longer if our itinerary allowed. Views to die for.

This property was perfect for us. The accommodation was beautifully designed,and the location has amazing views . The outside area is perfect for a glass of wine while watching the sunset. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and we would definitely recommend this property. The little extra’s of jams, butter, bread & milk along with homemade brownies was a lovely touch!
