Loved how much Wellington has to offer.

Loved how much Wellington has to offer. We would do much more in the short time we were there. I would recommend staying more than two days, which was the length of my stay. Plan the things you most want to see and try new things. Kisa restaurant (Middle Eastern on Cuba Street) is amazing if you like this type of food. It was recommended to us, and it is delicious.) Plan trips and restaurants. So many to choose from so rather than confuse yourself with which ones, make a list, sort out the top of what you want to try and then those you miss this trip, let them be on your next.

My stay was beautiful from beginning to end with spectacular wellington harbour sea views and the city lights at night, luxury accommodation and great hosts. It WAS aptly named "The perfect stopover" and somewhere i would hope to return in future.

I love staying in the CBD and being able to walk to everything. Take the 3 hour sightseeing bus, it is well worth the $89 even if you have been to Wellington before and a definite must for first timers. There is so much else to do in Wellington that makes it a great city to visit !

There are some great museums. The cable car and botanic gardens are a must see and if you have a car, it is well worth driving around the bays and to the various lookouts - the views are fantastic. The war memorial is worth a visit. The Parliament is also worth visiting but book a tour (free) to make the most of it.

Wellington is an interesting city, it's small and compact and most things are within a walkable distance. The cafes and restaurants are excellent. New Zealand is now generally a very expensive place to travel in and the prices in Wellington reflect that. As the country is one of the best food producers in the world, it's a pity the food and drink costs here are so high. Seems out of balance to me.

Great, attractive room and kitchen amenities. Excellent location for a pedestrian arriving from ferry shuttle (very short walk from train station dropoff). The nearby dedicated airport city bus at platform B makes for an easy, cheap ride to airport, or even other points in city. Not too far to walk from downtown. Nice to see a room with some interesting decor rather than stark black and white , I am so sick of blahck and grey. And a bathtub was so nice for a tired bod. Great bed.

Realy clean and well presented room. Even though it was the cheapest room on offer it provided everything we required. The location of the hotel was also excellent for our requirements; on the very edge of town with tracks into the wonderful Wellington Bush whilst only 5 minutes walk from Lambton Quay and all the city of Wellington has to offer. On arrival our we were met by friendly and personable staff who checked our requirements as we were checking in.

We stayed for one night at james cook. The hotel was so good and when we booked the hotel we did not expect this comfy. Entire staff were friendly. Explained the guidelines accordingly. Overall hospitality is at its best. Rooms were tidy. Compliments were so much. Bathroom is super clean. Easy access to city area. Recommend to a friend without hesitation. If we travel wellington again will definitely stay here. Thank you .

Had a wonderful couple of days in central Wellington. Even though the hotel is right in the centre of the city, our room was quiet. Also clean, well appointed and spacious. Parking was fantastic although we walked everywhere once we arrived at the hotel.
