The calamian group of islands of which Coron is part of, is beautiful. And I hope all the measures to keep it pristine and unlittered will be successful always. There are many breathtaking sights. You would need a sizable budget though to be able to enjoy the boat tours which are wonderful. If you have the time, visit Culion. It is historical (a UNESCO site), and while the places to see could do a little tidying up, nevertheless, the history of that place invites reflection and inspires--many heroic people lived on that island. Rooms are spacious, big selection if breakfast, friendly hotel staff. Infinity pool is okay, could have a bit deeper though. The other pool is undergoing refurbishment. Island hoping are a must to do. We ate in the town where they served fresh sea food.I think its called Island boy Grill. Day trips to beautiful beaches and islands is what Coron is about. The town is dirty and chaotic. And hotels are overpriced for what you get. 3 or 4 days is enough to enjoy the diving and snorkelling options which are wonderful. Lots of rubbish floating around in the ocean and on the beaches which seems to be a south east Asia problem. Was great time in this hotel I highly recommend it Coron 180 The hotel is amazing location in the heart of town, and clean and the breakfast in the restaurant is good. LOVED the tours and the beautiful landscape! But wouldn't recommend staying in Coron for over 2 days - there isn't anything to do outside of boat tours, and the city isn't built for tourism. Magnificent nature, grains of sand you can't bear to touch, an ocean where you can see the bottom of the water from eight meters. If fate allows, I will be here again next year in 2026. Whoever comes here should definitely visit the places below. You basically live in a jungle but with a great comfort. We had nice breakfasts included and the manager Judith helped us to organise Coron trip island hopping and scooter rental. You just need to bear in mind that it is pretty isolated place so getting from Coron town there takes around 50 min by tricicle.
