We went to Mactan for a wedding and caught a 'Grab' taxi from the airport to the accommodation for about A$15. We had a room with a view to the sea, but could also see the housing of the locals, which contrasted to the fancy hotels - so sad to see the living conditions of locals. Great beaches on Mactan Island. Also some good nearby attractions like Lapu-Lapu statue, Mactown Newtown, 10,000 Roses Cafe. You will also find more sites in Cebu city like Fort San Pedro, Magellan's Cross, Sto.
