A wonderful place that I visit many times during the year.

A wonderful place that I visit many times during the year. I have completed all the tracks in these wonderful mountains, and I look forward to new visits to experience these wonderful emotions that these mighty mountains give!

I came here for hicking and my review is mostly for that

I came here for hicking and my review is mostly for that * try to get to the trail as soon as possile. heat & and lots of ppls are yor opponents here. * Info center sells nice map with hicking routes. it absolutely worth 8zl. * double check what is the best way to get to your starting points (taxi, private bus, public transport, or a walk) * be ready that lidl/bedronka/netto in the evenings are crowded like airports. on the contrary most of them open 6:00AM (or so) * al the trails are marked. some of the really good. great part of the trails look like stone-based build staircases. thats not nice for you knees. * it worth mixing hicking days with rafting or visitd to aquaparks. I am seeing myself coming here over weeking to do 1-2 days hike, but not staying longer. Seems a bit overpriced and overcrowed to me, but ymmv.

    Zakopane is way too crowded.

Zakopane is way too crowded. There is also only one major road in and that roads is most of the time jammed with car that have diesel engines which polute the environment. The mountains are nice but not as beautiful as the ones in Austria and Switserland and also not as high. Zakopane is furthermore quite expensive and commercial. A nice alternative are the Slovak Tatras. Less crowded, more prestine and less poluted.

Zakopane was VERY crowded when we visited (Aug 2025).

Zakopane was VERY crowded when we visited (Aug 2025). Parking was difficult to find. We had a 10:40 reservation for Kasprowy Wierch cable car. We arrived in town to park and walk up (15 minute walk) to check in for our reservation. We could not find parking! We ended up parking 3 km away and walked to a taxi stand for a quick drive up. 40 złoty for parking and another 20 złoty for the taxi ride up. We were going to Uber to dinner another night but we were 20 minutes out of town and we couldn't get a ride. We ended up driving and had to park 15 minute walk from the restaurant. We can highly recommend Drukarnia Smaku for dinner. We made a reservation but didn't need to. The place was vacant but they can cook a steak like no body's business. All in all, we wouldn't return to Zakpane. We visited the Kasprowy Wierch and the Sky Walk and had a great dinner out. No need for us to return. Cheers!

I really enjoyed the hikes in the Tatras, the fresh mountain...

I really enjoyed the hikes in the Tatras, the fresh mountain air, and the cozy atmosphere. I also highly recommend trying their local smoked cheese – it’s delicious and truly unique. However, if you’re planning a trek, I’d recommend skipping Morskie Oko – while the view is nice, it’s very crowded with tourists. Choose a different trail instead for a more interesting, peaceful experience and a true taste of the mountains.

The town itself is charming, and the view of the mountains...

The town itself is charming, and the view of the mountains spectacular. We visited Morskie Orko, which was breathtaking. Kasprowy Wiersch was an enjoyable trip and walk. Gubalowka Mountains and cable car were nice to see, but really a tourist spot, albeit with good views of the town. We enjoyed fine dining at Restaurant Giewont (book in advance) and traditional Polish food at Goralska Kryjowka Karczma. Easy to get around, although gets quite congested if travelling by car through the centre due to the volume of tourists, which just emphasises that Zakopane is a great place to visit. We stayed three nights, but could easily have stayed longer and seen more of the wonderful landscape and attractions.

Everything was perfect, rated 10 out of 10. Our family had a great time on this trip, especially thanks to this hotel in Zakopane. The room was lovely, with a beautiful mountain view from the window. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, just like in the pictures. The pool and other facilities were clean and modern, perfect for relaxing after hiking or skiing. Breakfast wasn't a buffet, but there were plenty of choices on the menu and the portions were big. Thanks for having us, we can't wait to come back!

The hotel was in a great location, close to train station (30 mins walk) and about 15 mins walk from Krupowki street. Our room had a balcony with a lovely view of the Tatra mountains. There was even a little kitchen on the corridor for communal use. It was also in a great location to the ski slopes. The room was very spacious, clean and very traditional with exposed wooden beams. We would definitely recommend this hotel and it was such good value for money.

A cozy aparthotel in Zakopane with a traditional highlander design, complete with wooden interiors and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect—close to the main Krupówki street yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Whether you're into skiing, hiking, or just relaxing in nature, this accommodation is a fantastic choice. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zakopane!
