Having been slightly phased by the review mentioning mice and rat poison, we have decided to half our party as we were using the house to overnight before visiting Caramulo motor show. The house is old, but very well maintained. Antiques all over. Paradise for those looking for some old rural charm. Has a nice outside space - sitting and also a barbecue. Inside - not bad either. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen.

Really cosy place to stay. The village seemed almost derelict at first, but it was just a few buildings. It is on a hilltop, with fantastic views for 20-30 miles in all directions. The fire was lit in the living room when we arrived, They even had an honesty bar, we didn't need it, but it was appreciated.

Our second stay at Hotel SJ, it was as great as the first. Spotlessly clean in public areas and in our room. Large comfortable room with huge bed. Spacious bathroom, endless hot water. Excellent breakfast served in splendid dining room. Lots of parking, charging facilities too. Location at the top of the town, on the southern entry. Courteous, helpful staff.

Cleaning lady was very helpful as I had 3 different rooms over my stay there. Room 1 had problems with shower so cleaning lady moved me to an other room. Room 2 was a very nice room but only problem was that at 5am the kitchens next door would make so much noise. So once again was moved by cleaning lady. Room 3 was the best room and on my next booking then I will be asking fir that room.

Everything was completely how it should be in a hotel by definition in terms of practical aspects plus great management, tranquil atmosphere inside the rooms and outside, swimming pool where you can forget problems for a minute and animals also on the property, fantastic :) Oh and breakfast, great, all you need for the start of your day, I will come back with my daughter for sure :) thanks!
