Beautiful place, so peaceful and relaxing. Our room was lovely and the pool area is great. Really loved the outdoor shower. We had to book an extra night as our car broke down and the staff could not have been more accommodating.

The house was amazing. Six suites, extremely comfortable in the winter. Heat and an amazing fireplace. We travelled with kids and they had an amazing time in first floor playing ping pong. The house is big and can easily accommodate groups. Totally recommend it. There is also a very appealing pool outside for summer stays.

Our stay at Assumar Country House in Assumar was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, the owners - a lovely married couple -made us feel right at home. They were incredibly friendly, always accessible, and eager to help us discover the wonderful region, which is rich in food and wine experiences. The property itself is stunning. Set amidst the beautiful Alentejo fields, it offers breathtaking views and a refreshing pool that adds to the serene atmosphere. The house, an old historical building, has been tastefully renovated, blending its charming past with modern comforts. Our room was very comfortable, with a spacious bathroom that felt quite luxurious. Interestingly, there was no TV in the room, which we actually appreciated as it encouraged us to fully relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. Served on a lovely terrace with a great view, it featured a variety of fresh fruits, real eggs, delicious pastries, and freshly baked bread. The hosts once again went above and beyond, making our mornings truly special. Leaving Assumar was tough after such a wonderful stay. It felt like saying goodbye to a little piece of paradise. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enriching getaway. It was an amazing experience that we will cherish for a long time. We will definitely be back!

It has been one of our best holidays all around Portugal in the past 1.5years. The warm welcome by the owner Donna Vera and jumped into help when we had a car problem. Breakfast was spectacular with Donna Manuela delivery to the door with warm bread and cake and much more! Loves it! It is a place to recharge and read books and enjoy a nature walk. Take a boat to row down the river and back. It is a place to unwind from all screens including mobile calls. It is a proper de-stress place! The swimming pool! the quality of water! Jacuzzi with the trees around. Oh oh don't forget to lie down on the outside beds to count stars. The moinho we stayed was renovated with great details and lots of care. A jacuzzi inside as well? How cool is that! Top notch! We did not have time to check TV or make phone calls. Just enjoy all these water activities keep us busy and happy. Many thanks again take care until next time! Muito obrigada pela um experiência excelente e até próxima!

    This hotel is in an amazing location with fantastic views. Rooms have lovely little terraces leading out to the pool which again has great views. It is in the grounds of a vineyard. Breakfast was very nice .
