    The village was delightful, we stayed a short car ride away.

    The village was delightful, we stayed a short car ride away. It was accessed through a tunnel which was too long to walk through comfortably. We can recommend ‘The Old Pharmacy’ for lovely meals, particularly brunch.

    It's got the best weather on the island.

    It's got the best weather on the island. It's far enough away from the hustle & bustle /crowds & traffic of Funchal, but close enough to everything to access the sights. It was more peaceful here and homey. We really loved our hotel (Zino's Palace).

    Its a lovely small coastal town, but parking is a massive problem, with many people parking on the pedestrian path, and yellow lines. If I was visiting for the day, I would have gone elsewhere, but as a guest staying for 3 days, we spent many hours trying to park legally. Beware you can be clamped despite no road markings or signs, or restricted access.

    A quiet little town, with nice streets and observation decks. There are several restaurants and only one shopping center in the center. It's a very nice sunset and it's always nice and warm here.

    Great walks (Levadas) in the area. Accommodation was outstanding. Immaculate inside! Great outdoor space. Extremely kind and caring Host. Private parking space. One of the best places we have stayed at.

    here. Such a beautiful place overlooking Ponta do Sol but within easy walking distance of the sea and a clutch of restaurants and bars. The lounge is simply stunning and the kitchen is huge with wonderful views and full sun for breakfast time. There is a patio that spreads all around the house so eating breakfast and dinner outside is a pleasure. There is a barbecue. The host is so helpful and responsive for any questions. We had a wonderful week and planning another stay next year. Ponta do Sol is so central for the whole island. Book now!

    Exceptional stay in a wonderful house with excellent facilities. Particularly liked the BBQ and obviously the view. A car is highly recommended, because although the #4 bus goes past the house, we could not work out the route. Alternatively a taxi is €8 from Ponta do Sol. The Levada Nova is only a couple of minutes away by car, and the walk along the valley with views across to the better known levada walks is spectacular.

    At first, I didn’t like our room — it seemed small and in need of renovation, which is true. But over time, that didn’t matter anymore. The place is wonderful, with funny cats and a truly homely atmosphere, beautifully decorated with great style. The breakfasts were the best of our whole trip (and we stayed at two other, newer hotels). What I’ll remember most and miss the most is this place itself.

    The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. The communication with Ana was spotless, everything that you need is provided. Ponta do Sol is a lovely little town with great sunset views and a beach where you can swim. All in all great value in a great location! Would come back anytime!

    The location of the hotel is amazing. Ponta do Sol is a sweet little village, very cozy, between two cliffs. the stuff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. breakfast very abundant and delicious. we were super happy to be there!
