Vale de Porco is situated 10km from the small town of Mogadouro. The area is sparsely populated and largely free of significant traffic (even on the IC5 main road). The countryside is hilly, partly wooded, vines, olives and hay fields. There are lots of footpaths and the walking is not too strenuous.
