FAQs about hotels in Singapore

Asia in a Compact Package

Clean, compact and compelling, Singapore seamlessly combines the best of Asia. Different cultures and cuisines live side by side, while maintaining their own identity.

Behind the bright lights of Chinatown is cheap and delicious dim sum, while Little India is a sensation for the senses. Wander past the pastel-painted facades of Malay-dominated Geylang Seari for a taste of days gone by, then stop off at the Colonial-style Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail.

For a retreat from the hustle and bustle, take the cable car to the sandy beaches of Sentosa, an island just south of the city center. Also here is Universal Studios Singapore, a theme park brimming with the magic of the movies.

As you’d expect from the host of the world’s only Formula 1 night race, once night falls, Singapore is still very much alive. Its Night Safari is a zoo providing the rare chance to see nocturnal animals going about their business.

Although small enough to see on foot, Singapore has an efficient public transport system which extends as far as Singapore Changi Airport. With a choice of Singapore accommodations ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels, Booking.com is bound to have the right choice for your holiday.

What Guests Said About Singapore:

Public rail transport excellent.

Public rail transport excellent. When you need to use a taxi they are reasonably priced. We love the food. Always treat ourselves to Little India and many other eating outlets. Gardens. Botanical as well Gardens By the Bay.(Of course the big ticket items at Gardens By the Bay are amazing but there is also so much more to see and explore there. Museums are world class. (The honouring of Singapore's history). I like to seek out the smaller local retail outlets. The big name shops I am not interested in but I do love the buzz of Orchard Road. The Singaporeans consists of many cultures and we have never met a rude or nasty person and we have been to Singapore many times over the years. They live in Harmony. Finally I admire the Government's social housing policy .Our country could learn from a few Singaporean policies.

My trip to Singapore was an incredible experience that perfectly balanced culture, cleanliness, and convenience. From the moment I landed, I was struck by how organized everything felt, from Changi airport Terminal 1 I went straight to amazing Jewel. Everything is convenient as you can ride a bus, MRT or taxi (grab). The city is spotless, well-maintained, and feels safe. Despite being a modern city; skyscraper and the famous Marina bay Sands, there’s greenery everywhere like my beautiful view from my hotel room. Must visit Singapore island St. John, Lazaros and Kusu island, you can buy a ticket from Marina south pier. It's a great escape from the city.

Singapore is always a great destination for us for a short stay and we come through quite often mostly during transit to other countries . Changi is one of our favorite airports with easy access to City. Taxi service is exceptionally good and people in general are always warm and friendly. Shoppers Paradise though this time I felt prices were a bit steep.

Singapore is beautiful, clean and most of all very safe.

Singapore is beautiful, clean and most of all very safe. The cuisine is good and diverse with western, Singaporean, chinese, indian and Malaysian. Travellers will be spoilt for choice. This applies to the shopping malls too. I ate at Skai Restaurant, floor 70 at the Swissotel, the view was just amazing. Other restaursnts include the Masses at the Capitol, Chaijms opposite the Carlton hotel. It is easy to get around either in taxis or Grab, the equivalent of Uber. The buses and metro also run quite well, I was told but didn't get to go on them. Places I visited include the Marina Bay, Chinatown, Little India. There is a bus sightseeing and boat cruises.

It seems a lot of people see Singapore as a transit stopover...

It seems a lot of people see Singapore as a transit stopover but it is so much more than that. There are so many attractions for the tourists and it is so easy, and cheap, to get around on the world leading MRT system. We can't speak highly enough about the MRT. No tickets required, just a credit card. No timetable required as a train arrives every 6 mines (or less). No maps required as the stations and trains have easy to understand directions and no rideshare or taxi required as the MRT will get you within walking distance of almost everywhere in Singapore, even the airport. The only exception we found was the Zoo, which required a cheap and convenient shuttle bus from the MRT station to the Zoo (and back). It does help to put a link to MRT journey Planner on your phone as it's the best way to work out the fastest way to get to your destination and it will show the station stops and interchanges you may need to make. We filled our 9 night stay with so many activities, including Sentosa Island, the Mandai Wildlife Reserve (with 4 fantastic wildlife parks), Gardens by the Bay, the Botanical Gardens (including the Orchid Garden), East Coast Park (10kms of beach and park), Singapore River (including Clarke and Boat Quays and the Merlion), Fort Canning, Bugis, Kampong Glam, China Town, endless shopping and many wonder food centres. Make Singapore your destination, not just a stopover.

I have so many words to describe Singapore, but wow!

I have so many words to describe Singapore, but wow! is the main one. Safety, impressive architecture, the amount of green, the visiting sites, food, the people. The only downside is how expensive it is.

First of all, the location is top-notch, with easy access to all the tourist places in Singapore. Also, cleanliness and amenities provided are better than any other hotels in the same price category. A big-shout out to the really amazing staff- Ryan, Loc, Grace and Divina for their wonderful job in not only helping me go through a smooth check-in and check out process, but also helping me board the cab back to the airport and helping me search missing wallet. What a pleasure staying in this lovely property!

Considering how expensive hotels in general are in Singapore nowadays i was most glad to find this budget hotel in the Geylang area and also within walking distance of the Aljunied MRT Station. There are plenty of places to go to eat in this area and i really enjoyed admiring the many old shophouses in the whole Geylang area. I slept really well here for a reasonable price (for Singapore). Recommended.

Booking.com gave me a good deal where a free upgrade was included. After that the Hotel gave me the option to further upgrade the room at a nominal charge. That made all the difference. Good sized room with all the amenities. Comfortable bed. Personalised check-in and check-out unlike several business hotels in Singapore where you have to do everything yourself.

Nice hotel in a great location. Considering the prices of hotels in Singapore, it was a great value for money. Everything in the hotel room is modern and in great condition. The service was outstanding, especially by Loc and Jona. We could keep contact and get support via WhatsApp and they proactively made sure that everything is okay during my stay.
