I visit my family in the Roma settlement called Hlboké.
I visit my family in the Roma settlement called Hlboké. When we tried to take a taxi from the train station with my very elderly grandmother on crutches, the driver refused to take us all the way to the settlement. So it's better to walk/not be old or disabled/not have dark skin. No one in the town, least of all the plaque- and monument-makers, seems to have the least idea of the heroic sacrifices that settlement made for the country during World War II (partisan fighters, concentration camps, mass murder of civilians including my grandmother's parents) and Roma are treated poorly (the town refuses to pave their streets, segregates their children into a separate school, etc.), but other than that it's a nice town.Guest review byPetraCzech Republic - 10.0

We came for weekend to visit Hurricane Factory experience and Tatralandia Aquapark. Both attraction were very good, Hurricane factory was really awesome experience. Liptovsky Mikulas is a great place to stay; the town center...
Liptovsky Mikulas is a great place to stay; the town center is excellent, with a very famous church. All the central square is such a lovely place, and be sure to look for the program: they do outside free music evenings and concerts. Unexpectedly, we have enjoyed listening to a local (?) rock group music. It was great, and the guys made "a noise"! Several restaurants are about. The attractions for kids are plenty, such as an Illusions museum (worth to go!), or a roller coaster (worth to go!) and, of course, an aqua park (expensive but a great experience for those who likes). Supermarkets, gas stations, restaurants are well available. And, you are near the mountains with 10-20 min to reach multiple mountain attractions. And, our experience is that all the roads around are very good. We had no traffic jams, and could easily travel for 70-80 km around, this means reaching famous Slovakian attractions in the mountains: lakes, waterfalls, parks.Guest review byMICHAELIsrael - 2.0

Amazing town in the heart of Tatra mountains right between Low, West and High Tatras. Amazing climate in summer, gorgeous mountain views, green meadows. A lot of things to do outdoors and indoors. Main attractions are Tatralandia, Caves and snow slopes in the winter. Wonderful bike trail along the Vah river. Hundreds of trails around for hiking. Its a clean place, breakfasts are great and they are self service, and people working there are amazing. You get 1 h free SPA which is sauna and jacuzzi. The Ski bus stop is about 50 meters away from the hotel. The family room has got bedroom upstairs and there is a lake view from your balcony.
