The Residence Douz was a wonderful resort, beyond my expectations. It was amazing to be able to relax in the middle of the desert like this. I especially liked the opportunity to experience the Arabic sauna hammam. All the staff, including the manager Mr.Anis Zayana, were very friendly and kind. I will never forget the hospitality of this hotel. Thank you.

The best accommodation. Brigitte and Mohamed are just fantastic, kind, pleasant, very helpful and amazing. Met them and stayed in their super villa was so precious and rewarding. Just go there and you will experience the beauty!

Everything Great! The apartment is big, spacious, brand new, super equipped. Extremely clean. A great place. The owner is a woman with a huge heart, and with great patience. She does everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I add one last thing; I am usually a model guest, but this time I was unbearable: she was always friendly and understanding. Absolutely recommended.

The owners of the structure are kind and helpful. In addition to the stay, I recommend the experiences they propose. The typical dinner is an incredible experience and the walk in the desert with the camels guided by Abdallah was magical. The structure is suggestive and well cared for. It was a real pleasure.

    Douz is a fascinating and authentic small town at the edge of the Sahara. Market day on Thursdays transforms the town into a vibrant hub, bustling with locals and tourists alike. Insider tip: Head to the animal stock market early in the morning (around 6–7 AM) to witness traditional trading in action — complete with lively negotiations over sheep, goats, and camels. A true local experience!

    The location of the camp is amazing. The host/driver picked us up in Douz and drove around 120Km in the desert. The ride was crazy, if you have motion sickness, be prepared. The dinner in the camp was really really good, better than our expectation. The starry night was also stunning, we saw so many stars in the pitch black night. The hosts were also nice.

    The hotel is at the gate of the desert. You can book desert activities easily through their reception. The pool is open till late so it’s nice to swim there and cool down. Interestingly we didn’t even use AC at night because there room is cool enough. We also booked spa but it’s very mediocre. I wouldn’t recommend because it’s not worth the money

    Hassan was the kindest host, he was very friendly, welcoming and helpful, his family was also very nice. We also had dinner one night and the food was homemade and local, cooked by one of his sisters, it was delicious. We had a great stay in Douz at Dar Alibaba, we would definitely recommend it.

    I've been in most of the hotels in Douz, and in my opinion, this is the best one in town. The reception service was nice, the person behind the desk was chatty and funny. The room was neat and comfortable, with a nice pool view. The swimming pool is big enough and looks pretty.
