Very friendly staff and amazing food! The rooms were spacy and clean. Kameleon Blue is the perfect place if you want to escape from the crowdy places. We can definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to see the more quite areas of Zanzibar.

What makes Palmera so special is its inspiring mission. The hotel and restaurant operate as a hospitality school for local young women, and the exceptional service they provide is a direct reflection of their training. From their warm smiles to their impeccable attention to detail, you can feel the genuine pride they take in their work. The hotel's setting is pure paradise. The infinity pool overlooking the turquoise sea is mesmerizing, and the lush, immaculately kept gardens create a perfect oasis for relaxation. It was wonderful to be able to walk barefoot through the fine sand and simply enjoy the tranquility. For anyone, but especially for vegans, the restaurant is a must-visit. The creative and delicious vegan dishes, all beautifully prepared and presented by the talented students, were a true highlight. It's a testament to the high-quality training they are receiving. The breakfast, in particular, was the best I had during my three-week stay in Tanzania, the homemade warm bread and homemade chocolate spread were unforgettable. For lunch and dinner, with main courses priced between $11 and $13, it offers exceptional value. This 15-room hotel is a quiet retreat. I stayed when it was almost empty and had no issues with noise, but even when full, the large garden and pool area should provide plenty of space for guests. The price range for double rooms in the 2025 high season was 70-100 USD. All rooms face the sea, though the view can be a bit limited from some of the downstairs rooms. While the large windows are beautiful, the curtains don’t fully cover them, which could be a privacy concern for some. I prefer a firm mattress, and the bed was perfect for me, but it might be a bit too hard for others. The solar-powered hot water worked flawlessly. The road to the hotel is a little bumpy on the last kilometer, but there are plans to improve it. In the bathrooms, I would have appreciated a bit more space to dry towels, or a drying rack on the terrace.

Everything this place is a hidden gem, the place is super nice, clean and the food is extraordinary. You will definitely be back for chef aly, and the staff was amazing, fatma was great great help. - perfect spot for resting and beautiful scenery - the villa is literally on the beach - you can see the ocean from the bed - you can watch the sunrise from your bed or romantically from the heartshaped pier, swing or beach - it’s very quiet and so you wont see many people except for some locals working during low tide - staff is very friendly, helpful and on point (fast response and solving problems/requests) - the manager is very hospitable, initiates sharing information but also leaves you alone immediately when finished - the manager’s cat is living on the property and she’s super cute and playful - they arrange taxi, massage, yoga classes and tours - you can use the supboards for free - breakfast is very delicious and versatile and almost entirely suitable for vegetarians - restaurants offers outside of menu options for lunch and dinner as requested, even local dishes that are not on the menu - water pressure is very good and hot water - airconditioning and fan works perfectly - complimentary drinks upon arrival and leave

Very nice place, family friendly, beautiful and quiet. very closed to the beautiful beach. The complex is simply beautiful with an amazing swimming pool. The staff was excellent, Rhoda, Tchambi, Ali and the rest of the team where there to make us feel like at home. The food was great... I recommend this place

The staff and manager were incredibly helpful, nice and tried their hardest to make us feel welcome. Restaurant has a pretty decent selection of multiple cuisines and everything is tasty, especially their cake! The hotel is located on first line with direct exit to beach. Perfect for watching sunset with a nice cocktail! We had a special reason for our trip, and they went on extra lengths to make our stay special. Definitely would stay here again!
