In a world where tourism is full of large hotel chains, finding a boutique hotel like Hekaya is beyond delightful. Only 5 rooms all oceanfront on an amazing beach which has an awesome sand bar which you can walk out on for half a kilometre. Service level is 11/10 as the staff is very professional, super helpful and friendly! They really helped me out when my airport taxi didn’t show up. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It was an incredible stay. Isabella was a brilliant hostess, and we felt we were at a home away from home. Milele was a special experience for my husband and I, and it will have a piece of our heart forever. A lovely villa in a beautiful resort. Everything was clean from the private pool and the villa itself to the shared swimming pool. Employees of the resort were very friendly and helpful. There are two nearby restaurants who serve good food. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend and might book again if we come to Zanzibar anytime in the future!

    We loved everything in this beautiful boutique hotel. The staff was kind and welcoming. They helped with everything we needed it felt like family. The room was cleaned twice a day. In the resort you have a wonderful restaurant. The pizza and the steak was great. We really enjoyed our romantic stay. We are so grateful to Lisa the owner and Bruno Valeria. And all of the staff. They really made our stay special.

    This place is exceedingly overpriced for a run down and shabby hotel with construction outside your window. For that price there are so many better places in the vicinity. It was a big disappointment. However the staff were very sweet, but the place is due a big refurb if they want to charge what they do, and also need to look at improving the breakfast which was mediocre at best.

    Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Perfect for relaxing and getting away from the crowds that are present in other parts of Zanzibar. The staff are lovely and always willing to help, they organised a great snorkelling trip for us. The food is also very good and well priced, in comparison to some of the other restaurants in Pingwe. We were very sad to leave!

    Lovely place located just away from the busy streets. Would recommend. Not too far from everything, small taxi ride into Paje which is much busier. Private beach offered from hotel is 12/10. Hotel looks lovely very clean and well kept. Nice rooms.
