We liked the wonderful scenery and food.
We liked the wonderful scenery and food. The Terrace Grill and Geddy's were terrific! Our stay at the Acadia Inn was lovely. Acadia National Park is one of America's greatest treasures. In addition, we enjoyed the Bass Harbor Head Light Station. Overall, it was a terrific stay and wish we had stayed longer.Guest review byChris - 10

Love Bar Harbor, great restaurants, galleries, love walking the shore path and out to Bar Island at low tide. Love the free Island Explorer buses into the National Park and all over Mt Desert Island. Love sea kayaking around the harbor islands. Love biking on the carriage trails in Acadia . Beautiful views of the rocky coastline and the moonrise over the Atlantic. Bar Harbor is a comfortable tourist town, plenty of shopping and dining options. It has a friendly, welcoming feel. It feels safe day or night. We enjoyed some excellent meals here! Cherrystones has a fabulous lobster BLT. Testa's has lobster tacos that were phenomenal. Galyn's Maine Combination features lobster, scallops, a delicious crab cake, broccoli, rice pilaf and a garlic aioli dipping sauce to die for. Stay away from the Indian pudding for dessert, though, it's a runny, warm, odd-tasting brown stew. Plenty of better dessert options on their menu. Don't miss the Pink Pastry Shop! They make a terrific iced latte, the Maine Mud Square is a chocolate lover's delight and the cupcakes are wonderful. Really friendly folks, too!Guest review byScottUnited States - 10

A charming town with a lot of eateries, cafes and shops. It had a perfect waterfront view as well. Our favourites were the Choco-Latte Cafe where they have an amazing Maine Maple Oat coffee and yummy food and Frenchman Bay Lobster Rolls, for one of the best lobster rolls. I love the Bar Harbor area.
I love the Bar Harbor area. We go at least every other year and may try to make it a yearly visit. Love the Jordan House, Cadillac Mt, Thunder Hole, Sand Beach and all the other places there are to see. Beautiful senary.Guest review byJoanne

Breakfast was simple and about the same everyday but we didn’t mind that. We loved that you could sit outside and watch the ocean during breakfast. Location was amazing, it’s why we picked this hotel. Acadia was just around the corner & the Bar Harbor center was a 20-25min walk through lovely streets.
