The recent renovations are awesome. We loved the style of the decor and it was a fun place to stay. We could see sunset from the balcony and it was an easy walk into the main part of town.

What's not to like! Check-in was so easy with just a door code and it was so close to all the attractions on Allen Street we could walk, but plenty of free parking if you choose to drive. The decor was like taking a step back in time, but with all modern conveniences. The sunset from the balcony was spectacular, the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was adorable with the copper basin/whiskey barrel sink and sliding bar door closure. Plenty of towels and even some mints and a surprise gift of a wooden ornament and playing cards. Everything was clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the Tombstone area.

Although rather commercialized now, the town still maintains an atmosphere of belonging to the old west. The wooden sidewalks and older-looking store fronts are charming. Mostly it is fun stuff-even the gunfights are comedy. You will learn a little of the history of the town during these shows and there several places to buy books and the newspaper office has copies of old newspapers that covered the famous gunfight, which did NOT take place at the OK corral---close by. And lasted less than 30 seconds. Of course, a visit to Boot Hill cemetery should be on everyone's to-do list. Places to eat: there are a good number of great places but we liked Big Nose Kate's due to the live entertainment and very slightly rowdy atmosphere. It is still kid-friendly so no worries there. Dress up at BNK ( they provide the costumes and props) and have your photo taken while you are there for lunch or dinner. Stagecoach ride is a to-do once. Note: the horses here look well kept and healthy. Hafflingers, Percheron x, and Suffolk Punch.

Tombstone is an historical town known for the shooting at the OK Corral. It retains its historic heritage and also provides cute stores for browsing and several museums to learn more about the area. One unexpected museum was seeing the largest rose tree in the world listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. Super interesting and I'm sure is spectacular in full bloom. Also the museum in the Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park is excellent.

The town is small and fully dedicated to tourists. If you are a fan of the movie or the documentary, I would strongly recommend visiting. I learned so much. I got to play poker in the Oriental Hotel which was a real highlight for me. The reenactment were fun. Only one thing annoyed me. I found out when I left that the actual site of the battle is not exactly where they said it was.

If you are into western stores and fake shootouts on the street, then this place is for you. I found that all the stores, while nice, were repetitive. Big Nose Kate's served good food and beer. Tomestone is a good place to visit - once. Boot Hill was interesting, but a bit corny.

The one location that lives up to the hype.

The one location that lives up to the hype. We had such a great time visiting Tombstone on our way through to Dallas. A must stop is the Birdcage, and I absolutely recommend taking the tour for a walk through history. We had a cowboy-sized breakfast at the Longhorn restaurant made sure to stop by The Crystal Palace in the afternoon for a beer and wings. Take a short ride in one of the stagecoaches for a unique experience. The gunfight show is also fun if not a little bit longer than necessary.

Everyone with a yearn for history should make this trip at least once. The town reeks of nostalgia and the wild west. Must see's are the Bird Cage Theater, gun fights, Boot Hill and the Courthouse. The restaurants and lodging are not that great, I recommend staying in Sierra Vista about 20 miles west of Tombstone. It can be a little challenging if you have mobility issues but can be done. The entire town is a historical site and happy to have traveled there several times.

If you visit Tombstone, you've come to live it's 1880's heydey as a frontier town. There is no better way than to spent the night in a period themed miner's cabin. With solid wooden furniture, bathroom walls decorated with newspaper articles and a whisky barrel for a sink, you'll remember your stay. 10 out of 10.

The room was wonderful, the location (on the edge of Tombstone) was great, the food was delicious (especially dinner), and the saloon-style bar with nightly live music was fun without being overly loud, and the majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
