Maison du Pays is one of the best homestays in the Mekong delta area, they also have great food and overall it has a very good value for money, in fact people go there from Ho Chi Min just to stay for one night but mainly to sample their food which as i said is top quality.

Originally, we came to this area for one night to relax from the hustle and bustle of Saigon, but we enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying for two nights. The place is truly magical, and you will hardly see any tourists here—only kind, smiling local people and plenty of fruit, especially coconuts. Thuan is a very friendly and caring person. He speaks perfect English, which really helped us to get at least a glimpse of the local culture and way of life, especially during a private trip on the Mekong River, which I highly recommend. The next day, we went on a bike ride and visited a local coconut processing workshop (nothing goes to waste here). One of the most unforgettable moments was when we visited local school children—it was an incredible experience that touched our hearts. Whenever we were hungry, his sister Thuy cooked us excellent Pho or fried spring rolls at her restaurant. We are glad we chose this place and we hope to return here in the future. We had an amazing stay, one of our best. Amy is very nice and friendly. the Mekong boat trip with Amy is absolutely amazing, definitely not to be missed. It is not a classic tourist tour, but a real experience where you will learn a lot. Cooking and processing coconuts together is also great. And the food is delicious. Thanks Amy for these experiences.
